Kinda smug ngl, seemed like they were talking about communities, not watching shit.
Working 16 hour days, only stopping to sleep.
I'm more disappointed in seeing the enshittification of the internet getting this bad.
Things behind paywalls or content generated for clicks, and all of it funneled through the same sites.
It wasn't always like this and I feel bad for younger generations who have to deal with this dessicated husk instead of finding what they might actually want or need.
Also, no we don't. We have rasicism, liberalism, and porn at our fingertips. What we are lamenting is that we don't have accesses to all the knowledge and art and community we used to.

Only to have to navigate an increasing mire of paywalled content, anything of value slowly taking the same rigid forms of nonsense, and no one to discuss these niches with as all community platforms become increasingly niche and small, or overrun with grifters and bots.
If you wanna learn something from the internet, best use is the navigation to your local library.
