I’m with team lamp. Lamp is love, lamp is life. I want pools of light illuminating specific bits of my room with darker areas to highlight points of interest and dim others. Also no direct light in my eyes in any seating position. Sure I have big lights, which I use if doing something that requires decent light, but to eat dinner or relax in the evening - turn that thing off, it’s like getting a police interrogation! I want my cozy lamps.
