Probably the least harmful (but still chaotic thing) would be just full American balkanization.

The only thing that makes me nervous about an organic rather than an enforced balkanization of the US is that we'd have a handful of nuclear states as rabid as Israel with a ready made cuban missile crisis times 10

Yeah I'm for revolution first (even though that happening in hellhole America feels like a fantasy at times) but if balkanization gets the boot off the rest of the world's neck then bring it. Whatever I may suffer, the rest of the has a million times over at the hands of this demonic entity I find myself in.
