Country B: One of poorest and most corrupt nations in Europe, has recently had a political coup, has ongoing rebel insurgencies dating to more that 10 years ago, not insignificant proportion of population is more sympathetic to Country A than Country B, 20% of land area currently occupied by Country A, 20% of occupied land area is most resource rich area of Country B, 20% of occupied land is most fertile area of Country B, has been resorting to forced conscription for multiple years straight, has 1/3 the population of Country A, is essentially irrelevant on global economic scale, has little to no utility to western capitalist nations beyond being a buffer state to Country A, undergoing significant demographic and economic collapse
