He's doing what literally any other US president would do — drawing out the conflict as long as possible. It's hurting Europe, it's hurting Russia, and this is good for the US. (it's devastating for Ukraine too naturally, but nobody cares about that)
Ukraine wont be a country anymore anyway, so why not run it to the ground to hurt russia & EU and make a quick buck?
