What the hell do you mean calling someone a pedo.
Do you not watch his hot trash videos? He's totally happy to discuss minors in the most lurid terms as he talks about how he gets off on them. His favorite lately is that lady from the geology anime, who is an adult, but there are so many high school shows that do ecchi that he is loudly, even performatively into.
I've watched them and no, he doesn't. Also, minors???? Do you know the difference between the depiction of a young person in a cartoon (who may as well be 16 or 26) and an actual child????

The thing is, what is bad about pedophilia isn't the appearance of the person you're attracted to. Nobody gives a shit about that. The problem with pedophilia is that the person inside that body isn't mature.
It doesn't matter that JoJo characters all have muscles that have their own muscles, it doesn't really matter whether he visually reads as a 17 year old, if he's 17 and you've seen the show where he is a 17 year old kid who goes to high school, then you shouldn't be thinking of him that way.

I mean if you did it transparently to make a child character you can sexualize without being criticized for it, no. Luckily, there's a big difference between a short 50 year old and a child, so you shouldn't run into any problems otherwise!
I have been saying that all along. The problem is not the supposed age that appears in the wiki. The problem is how the character is coded. Which is way i don't care if someone sexualizes Jotaro (17) but i hate someone sexualizing Kanna from Dragon Maid (800 years or something like that).
Tbh I will be judging someone for sexualizing 17 year old Jotaro when the adult version is right there.
Also 17 year old jotaro acts like a arrogant teenager and part 3 is his coming of age story where he learns to better control his emotions.
Like he's literally meant to be a immature child compared to avdol, polnareff and his grandfather.
Child characters are children and are meant to be taken as children.

Ok but you don't seem to be recognizing that the way a character is written, how they navigate life and what they're doing in their life, is part of that coding. You seem to think that if you look at a picture of someone and you're like "yeah I guess they could be at least 18" then there's no problem talking about how much you want to bang them, no matter who they are or how much you actually know about those details.
It's very, very easy to argue that "actually this character is coded as an 18 year old" and they look and act exactly like my 14 year old sister. It's also very easy to willfully ignore that the author of whatever work drew them intending them to read more like my 14 year old sister than an 18 year old because there's no way to prove it. You know it when you see it. Which for someone like me elicits an ick response, and then someone like you goes all

To be honest, there's not that much difference physically between, like, a 14 year old, and a 16 year old, and an 18 year old. They're all kids. If you're like 30 and watching porn of real 18 year olds or cartoon 18 year olds or any 18 year olds you're a fuckin freak too.

Also you second paragraph is all over the place, literally my entire point is that cartoons ages are fake and that's why the important issue is their coding, not the age given to them by the author (which applies to both a minor coded character who is an adult and viceversa).

Okay dude, let's play this game. How can you tell an 18 year old boy from a 14 year old boy? I can show you a 6'5" bearded bodybuilder and a 5'4" scrawny nerd kid and ask you "which one is the 14 year old and which one is the 18 year old" how confident are you that you'd get it right

Outliers? That implies they're rare. Every class of 14 year old boys has at least one kid with a full beard, at least in my experience. There's a lot of lil bearded teens out there. I asked you a question, how can you tell an 18 year old boy from a 14 year old boy?
Also, are you suggesting that it is okay to sexualize the 14 year old bearded bodybuilder because he's an "outlier" and you wouldn't expect him to be 14, or are you going to dodge this question with a handwave and performative indignation too?
I would say that if EITHER the chronological age OR the physical body OR the inner person is a child, then adult should not sexualize.
The reason to be bothered even about fictional depictions is that it normalizes and facilitates abusive relationships. To take an extreme example, Jeffery Epstein. Everyone around him knew he "liked young girls" but due to overall cultural acceptance, everybody was able to pretend they couldn't notice the abuse going on and no one intervened. The comments in this thread are part of an effort to shift norms around sexualizing minors, to make it unacceptable and encourage intervention in such situations.
This topic has been litigated to death all over the internet. Surely there is FAQ or something that answers every single minute variation of question.

I don't know about anime but the idea of an adult over the age of say 22 (to be very generous) being sexually involved with a 17 year old skeezes me out. Have you met any 17 year olds? They are so clearly children. Even the "mature" ones.
As to what is "ok" it depends on you. Are you 18? Sure. Are you 28? no.
But we are literally talking about anime.
Hell, or even in other types of media, the characters in Riverdale are teenagers being portrayed by adults, i'm not going to police anyone saying that they want to fuck them.
