Check out the BBC phone in segment where they ask people to comment on the migrant crossing.
Several "normal" British people rang in with the most unhinged xenophobic, cruel and callous takes essentially saying "these lesser animal people deserve to die for trying to come to our utopia".
One woman is like "its sad and I know it means children will die but it just has to be done, you can't keep letting them in" has to be done referring to pushing the boats back so that they all drown.
It's genuinely heinous and what was beyond infuriating was watching the BBC talking heads feeling shocked and uncomfortable people here can be that racist and xenophobic completely fucking disconnected from the fact that their own anti immigrant hit pieces and slop are exactly what's caused this amplification of nazi views.
It's literally their fault but
don't have the self awareness or compassion to get it.
Burn the UK
It's always been a shit hole but it's so much worse now we've adopted a lot of the American entitlement energy (like we didn't already have our own version but damn there's a noticeable shift in how people act post 9/11 regardless of age).
