God help us.
Are they making their occassional confession that they know that Communist countries provide real assistance to each other without fear of treason in their periodic self-contradiction to their claim that Communist superpower have conflicts with other Socialist countries?

No one is going to nuke each other over Venezuela. China is not going to directly confront the US over Venezuela either. The US bombed Iran, where China buys a lot of oil, and China did not militarily confront the US in any way. China cares about projecting power around the first and second island chains. Everything else is secondary.
China isn't the source of concern here, I think.
China probably sees Venezuela as just a good trading partner, and as part of Russia/Brazil's sphere of influence. Nicaragua under Sandinista rule only bothered to recognize the PRC in 2021.
Hmm, you edited your post since I replied. I think wherever volatile elements are involved, watchful caution is appropriate.

Stalin was right about capital’s triumph over the Soviet experiment bringing in an era of blackest reaction the world over. If humanity were to survive, China will lead toward a much brighter, equitable, sustainable and peaceful future.
