If we're being truly materialist about this, getting rid of all moralism, violent drunk fascists still should be shot or tackled when they make attacks with syringes at Ilhan Omar. He got the spray off and could have killed her if he wasn't a fuck up and had something truly toxic. It's an objective, material failure to allow this person to get away with what he did.
Absolutely: they need to be removed before they can cause harm, the pipeline that creates more of them needs to be collapsed at it's entrance, and the conditions that allowed the pipeline to be built in the first place need to be rectified.
In other words, this was an assassination attempt by a fascist against a political figure. His assassination attempt failed because he is a drunk fuckup, but plenty of assassination attempts against Castro were also failed attempts by equally incompetent gusano fuckups. However, those attempts were taken very seriously by Cuban counterintelligence no matter how unlikely the attempts would actually succeed. I do not see the same sense of urgency and seriousness here.
