Will Hamas use them as leverage? Israel has to free some Palestinians Prisoners in exchange for these hostages.
That seems to be the goal of the operation. They want all Palestinian prisoners released in exchange for the captured Israelis.
I heard that on the news. That they had enough isrealis to free a lot of Palestinians.
They apparently captured a brigadier general too
Unfortunately General Dumbass isn't worth that much
That has historically been a major source of victories for Palestine. Sometimes just one IDF soldier can be exchanged for dozens of political prisoners.
In the short term, Hamas is probably going to spread the Israeli prisoners out in Gaza so that levelling Gaza from the air will be tantamount to the IDF killing the hostages.
