There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

The AP is doing something simple that the vast majority of American reportage does not. They are talking to Gazans. In a shocker it turns out that hasbara and the reality on the ground are not the same.

Israel prepares for possible ground assault in Gaza as war deaths mount | AP News

Palestinian residents of the city of Beit Lahiya in the northern region of the Gaza Strip said Thursday that Israeli planes dropped flyers warning them to evacuate their homes and to head to "known shelters."

"Anyone who is near Hamas terrorists will put their lives in danger," the flyers said. "Adhering to IDF instructions will prevent you from being exposed to danger."

The area had already been heavily struck by the time the flyers were dropped. Shelters in the Gaza Strip are not safe from airstrikes — the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees has seen 10 of its shelters struck since the start of the operation.

Palestinians living the pummeled Strip have said that the military often has not alerted them before striking homes, or will alert them but not with enough time to evacuate before their homes are struck. Israeli defense officials have said that they attempt to provide warning before strikes.

They're doing it on purpose. They know where everything in Gaza is.

Even if they didn’t know the shelters were there, it’s still on purpose. As surely as if they butchered those people with their own hands. If you pull the trigger, you did it knowingly.

The concept of collateral damage is moral cowardice concocted by Westerners who knowingly butcher innocent people with bombs and drones.

[-] ziggurter@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

Wait. You mean I have some responsibility for actually knowing where this thing is pointed? Pffffft!

[-] gabaghoul@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Isn't this like the fox telling hen's where to roost? Then pretending that everyone in a densely populated city isn't near a road? As intelligent as the IDF claims to be, this makes them sound really fuckin stupid. I guess they're just searching for a pass that gives them permission to say, "look. We told you where we're bombing. You should have left."

This is all so enraging.

In the background - I was half listening to an American ex-general who is a MNSBC military guy talk about what the end game in Gaza could be. In his opinion - Egypt and Gaza will be like Turkey and Syria during Syria's civil war. He said something like ... Ultimately I think Egypt will have to accept Gazans coming into their country due to outside pressure led by the Americans.

I think he's right about. But I have many addition guesses. The IDF will level Gaza, they'll kettle the population towards the southern border with Egypt, and then in the media's current favorite term the "humanitarian crisis" will continue until Egypt lets them in. Egypt will probably force the Gazans to sit there beyond the point the media is uses words like starvation and cholera.

Gazans will finally go into Egypt after the US offers Egypt with enough billions in bribes described to the media as "military assistance and humanitarian aid". And as the Gazans live in utter squalor in huge camps in Egyptian wastelands - they'll never see any aid. That money will go the Egyptian elite who will use it for new cars, new additions to their houses, a five star flings with their mistresses in the UAE, etc.

[-] SaniFlush@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

And this is inevitable? We just have to make excuses for the terror?

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

I don't know what to say.

[-] ziggurter@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago

Israel has already bombed the gate into Egypt several times, though. Allowing refugees to flee into Egypt is going to take convincing more than just the Egyptian government.

[-] ziggurter@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Israeli planes dropped flyers warning them to evacuate their homes and to head to "known shelters."

Ah yes. Like the schools.

Please all collect yourselves in centralized locations for us that we are already bombing, TYVM.

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago

I can imagine an Israeli IDF spokesman is talking on a hot mic....

"Last week was great,. Monday I say 'Shelter can be found at UN schools in that area.' And - get this - I already know that we're gonna flatten that entire neighborhood to the ground by the end of the week. On Friday morning - boom! So much death! Awesome! But I gotta go on tv an hour later and I'll have to say 'We regret this loss of life however we must rid Gaza of Hamas...' You know - the usual filler shit. Sometimes it's hard not to snicker and— Holy shit. Is this on???"

Doesn't get into trouble. Of course not. The clip goes viral in Israel. Israelis really love the "real talk" spokesman guy and they think he's sexy and cool. He later gets a promotion.
