I mean, I guess? Calling it "hunting" is already silly when you're just sitting in a tree stand with a rifle, and deer in the US are extremely overpopulated and wracked with chronic wasting disease and causing massive ecosystem damage as a result, so it's not like killing more deer is a problem per se. But they really need to re-introduce wolves across their natural range if the deer situation is ever going to improve.
we could also stop breeding deer, but that would reduce tourism and hunting license revenue
Unironically legalize blowing away as many deer as you can with M60s. They're destroying our forests and it doesn't look like they'll reintroduce wolves outside of parks/near more populated areas.
Why not? Everyone already has a gun, so what's a wolf going to do? Kill livestock?
make raising livestock illegal
make hunting illegal (with a couple of exceptions)
keep deer populations normal by having a normal population of carnivore animals
also use the leftover hunting rifles to hunt hunters
On my 10 point plan to save the world three of the points are feeding all the hunters and ranchers to wolves.
