edit It is fascinating how abrupt and vocal a response I get here if I say something negative about Putin. It's also fascinating how many upvotes those responses get. It makes the provenance of this community's opinions fairly obvious.
Just because someone is an enemy doesn't mean I assume the opposite of everything they say

We should assume that he is lying, whatever he says.
Why are you even allowing his opinion to influence you at all? If he can say something that can change the way you vote, or act politically if you do more than vote

If instead, you acknowledge that your politics can exist in ways outside of conversations between politicians, you can actually practice your politics and laugh when some misguided liberal throws out a baby-brained comment.
