No no no no no... EA cant do something cool and good for consumers, someone slipped with a decimal place.
I'm convinced its a mistake, especially given that origin hasn't dropped the price
I got them for free on origin years ago. But either way, they're old games.
It's still a much better experience when pirated, since there's no DRM. Also, it'll make you feel glad you didn't pay for it when you learn they wasted the entire budget for C&C4 on a movie set and an "unbreakable" DRM that someone cracked within a few hours after the launch. They also killed the series with a very cheesy "and everyone lived happily ever after" with that one, and I never forgave them for it.
heh
Here is an alternative Piped link(s):

Old meme, EA hasn't been half-bad for years. Ubisoft, ActiBlizz and Nintendo are the current worst.
Bro, it's a Corporation. Just when you trust them they WILL stab you in the back.
They WILL fuck up Mass Effect 4 somehow.
All corpos are evil
Did EA actually do anything to get better? From my point of view all they've done is stop getting worse—they're still in the shitty hole they spent 2 decades digging
Still waiting for actual updates to jedi survivor on PC
Are the bounties still broken? I did something when I first played that locked out all the rest of those missions for me, so I was only able to do like the first three.
I will say I liked that hologram battle game quite a bit and I wish there were more opponents to go against.
Was patched 6 months after release iiirc? I had to edit my save file to trigger the bounties. Option was only available to PC though.
Guess it's a good thing I got it on steam then. Still, it's 160 gig game, and I don't have the patience to wait for that reinstall, or shuffle things around so I could.
The combat and lightsaber customization was fucking awesome too though.
IDK, I usually don't bother ranking companies if they're below some level. EA requires their launcher on a lot of their games, and that alone puts them on the "terrible" list.
Nintendo at least makes good games with minimal BS, so I'm more likely to give them a pass than the others since they make mediocre games with a lot of BS to deal with.
Paid cloud saves with no portable alternative is a lot of bs
Maybe I'm weird, but I've never needed cloud saves. I play on one device, and when I'm done with the game, I don't care about my saves.
I think I've used cloud saves on Steam once, and that was to play with syncing between Steam Deck and PC. It's just not a thing I value.
Maybe it uniquely impacts you, but I'm guessing the quiet majority are more like me. Then again, I grew up in the OG console days where saves were stored on the cartridge itself.
EA just canned a Mandalorian game for seemingly no reason. They still can't Star Wars.
Sounds like a license to print money to me. Stupid decision.
Add Square to the list. They have had the absolute worst PC ports with zero updates.
I heard the remastered collection was half decent too, but it's still too little too late. That company has done so much damage to the whole industry for so long that I just want to see it burn to the ground to release all those rights and licenses to those franchises to studios that actually mean well.
I get that corporations are all ultimately after your money and nothing else, but I'm curious why Nintendo is on here. As far as game companies, the only thing I really see from them that's kind of ass is their hyperprotectiveness of their own IPs. It sucks, but I don't need a battlepass to get the full experience of the next Mario game. Zelda doesn't require an always online connection. Metroid Prime 4 is actually gonna be finished on release instead of just shipping it in a terrible state
Nintendo is too litigous, and just successfully sued a switch emulator out of existence.
They've also stolen code from emulators (who I think they also sued).
I mean, that's fair, and super fucked up. I have a lot of issues with that, including the cultural ramifications
Still, it seems a different caliber to being actively hostile to players in the game design department. Nintendo games aren't the ones using psychological manipulation to give me a gambling addiction
That's fair, though. It's hella fucked up, and I've been wary of Nintendo's approach to this stuff since way back when AM2R was coming out
Nintendo has the worst price policy out of all publishers. Their games never drop in pricing
True enough I guess, I cant remember the last specific thing they did that pissed me off.
Required an EA launcher.
True, they were just so bad for so long that trashing them sort of became the default. I have to like, rewire my brain so I can treat them fairly.
They’ve shown us who they are. They do not change.
