CW: Joke
Don't move next to a drummer if you don't like hearing drums
Edit: Adding joke disclaimer, my apologies to those who took me seriously
It was a joke, disclaimer added, my apologies
mb mb, terrible at picking up /s and stuff.
it's all good, tone is very hard to convey through text, its not the first time some took what I thought was a clear joke seriously
If your a drummer buy some egg crates
Don't move in next to me if you're gonna drum? You're acting like this is some insane statement, that you have a god given right to do something you know is inconsiderate. And it's also just a purely hypothetical for you (I assume). However normal people either use digital drums with a headphone plugin, practice at considerate hours or go to a rehearsal room, what I am describing is an inconsiderate dickhead. Living in an apartment means making allowances and compromises across the board not just in a one-way direction to the dickhead.
Sorry, I made a bad joke without making it clear. I do have rather loud neighbours, they aren't playing the drums but music, footsteps, louder conversations, etc all carry. I'm also less bothered than most by hearing my neighbours, but I do understand that not everyone can just tune it out like I do. Again my apologies, I will try to choose my jokes more carefully in the future
No worries, I thought you weren't joking - I decided the most hostile interpretation and I should have been more chill. I'm sorry
No problemo, it happens to the best of use. Let they who have not came out of the gates a little hot in response to an internet comment throw the first stone
