I'm not old enough to have any huge emotional connection to the landline but I can dig it for sure. I like the internet but its really not engineered for reliability in the same way. If I could get away without having a cell phone it'd be tempting but the result would just be never talking to anyone, not nice long fulfilling conversations on the phone.
