Maybe what they're trying to describe is a torus

[-] letsgo@lemm.ee 5 points 6 months ago

No they'd only model a bull as a torus.

Now, how exactly is a penguin toroidal?

[-] letsgo@lemm.ee 3 points 6 months ago

It has a single hole through its body from its mouth to its arsehole. IANAB but I think all other holes have at least a membrane between one end and the other. So it's topologically equivalent to a teacup and a torus.

Imagine a donut-shaped penguin, love it! 😸
