Maybe they were banking on him winning the second term before offing him and subbing in Kamala. That plan clearly has fallen apart.

They wouldn't have immunity for that crime (since it was performed while VP). However once they become president they could just pardon themselves.

We need a gonzo slasher flick where the POTUS is a serial killer but no one can do anythinga bout it due to respect for America's institution. The final girl is treated like the actual movie villain for trying to stop the President.
