Yeah? And once the heavy metal is removed, where does it go? It's not like they have little woodlouse dump trucks to cart it away.

Back into the soil, unfortunately, but it is still cool that they can tolerate high levels of metals.

If you want to bioremediate in earnest, look to sunflowers, and a few others.
