The worst thing is he doesn't even have to make that excuse. He could say, "yep, I was accepting bribes from Harlan Crow and here's what he bribed me for" and publish an entire list and sign an affidavit that everything he said was true and he'd still be in that seat until he decided to retire or he died. Because there's no chance that a 2/3 senate majority would get rid of him.

That's helpful. What's the endgame? Domination once everything is in ashes? They severely underestimate people that are in dire straits and starving.
