Post covid this is increasingly less the case everywhere I've been.

Do other places not have right on red?

It's not universal. Europe usually doesn't have it. The UK doesn't have the left on red equivalent. Japan also doesn't permit left on red. South America usually doesn't have it either.

Mainland China usually has right on red from what I've seen.
