MODERATORS
I don't get the "world design" part, Oblivion already had a way more boring map and world than Morrowind, and Skyrim just drained all the colour out idk.
Just a very pretty game with stuff in nooks and crannies.
There is a series on YouTube, Curating Curiosities (or something), that serves as a good example I think.
I don’t think Skyrim has the best map or anything, but especially compared to Starfield I don’t think they are in the same ballpark.
It's so ugly wtf idgi
you're just wrong, skyrim especially for 2011 is gorgeous. I can't believe you legitimately think any part of Oblivion is pretty.
I think a lot of the shivering isles aesthetic holds up better. Lots of vibrant colors and weird shapes that made it a lot more interesting looking than Skyrim, which is just as outdated looking but also boring
Mostly the rolling hills, man, the dense forests. The dynamic light sources, the long for the time land draw distance. The fact it has more colours than brown, grey and bland green. Also Skyrim's character models are still terrible imo.
In retrospect, I didn't mean to misgender. I am sorry.
👍
It is two years older than that
I thought it was uglier than Oblivion, character models aside
