This is why i'm thinking we need a name for what Democrats are right now, as a political program. It's not really 20th century fascism. This is novel in some important ways.

They're nationalist imperialists. I think that is the term we need. Everything about them makes sense through the lens that they only care about their shitty empire. They'll sacrifice anything, any principles, any people, to preserve their empire. They're not, ideologically, Nazis, but they're American supremacists who aren't that far off.
