Yeah I'm an ally of chicken run characters. Uncritical support for the stuff they do in the first movie.(I haven't seen the sequel)
It's more of a brave new world sorta thing than the great escape homage of the first film. Due to the media it's satirising you could probably pull a communist reading from it pretty easily, but my main takeaway was that it felt like it was poking fun at how people consider free-range to be ethical and not just, like, less evil than battery farming.
Makes sense. I should check it out.
