Isn't that Sulphur?
Group one metals like sodium are spicy when they touch water. The further down the column you go, the more explosive it can be.

They first thought it was a bit like Potassium, but they found out there was no cesium in the picture...

I don't know about sulphur, but sodium is highly reactive with water
Sulfur is also an element, it's not made of anything
EDIT: i guess you meant sulfur is dangerous when mixed with water. I thought you meant this forms sulfur.
