Hamas-led militants killed some 1,200 people and abducted around 250 in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel that triggered the war. Israel’s retaliatory war in Gaza has killed more than 43,000 Palestinians, according to local health authorities, who do not say how many were combatants but say more than half were women and children.

JFC they’ve gotta qualify the tens of thousands of Palestinian dead with “well we don’t know how many were combatants” but no such qualification is made for the Israeli deaths. Imperialist ghoul shit.

I really despise the weasel words western news sources use for this

'war' 'local health authorities refuse to say', fuck off AP

I absolutely despise the Associated Press and I hate that they have this air of legitimacy and neutrality given to them that they have done absolutely nothing to earn. They’re hardly distinguishable from Breitbart half the time and yet they’re treated as one of the most trustworthy outlets there is.

"Yeah, the burn marks likely came after the truck tires ran them over, I'd say they died from traumatic injury. TOD 12:43pm"

"Doctor! Doctor! You forgot to diagnose whether they were a combatant!"

"I have 417 more patients and all my colleagues got arrested, I'm busy"

no such qualification is made for the Israeli deaths

It’s pretty safe to assume that any adult Israeli killed is a member of the military. Both because the resistance just hasn’t killed many civilians, and because there are very few Israeli civilians, over 90% have served in the IDF.
