This study is actually kind of sad, because upon further reflection on the data, it was found that the kids with "poor impulse control" were actually less likely to trust authority figures because they had experienced so many letdowns or broken promises from adult role models in their lives. Kids with happy home lives who were used to getting treats were way more likely to wait for the second marshmallow, whereas kids who had been consistently lied to or had never been given spontaneous treats by their caretakers were more likely to just take what was right in front of them.

I mean if i was just chilling in the woods having a good time and a group of people came along and were like 'theres a dude missing in the woods, we're super worried about him, help us look' id probably join them too. Seems like more of a failure by whoever called the search party. Of course that would never happen to me because I'd never tell anyone where im going and nobody would miss me.

I think the idea that all viewpoints are equally valuable and need to be given equal weight or volume in discussions is incredibly fallacious. Left wing ideals are backed by a multitude of research as well as ethical and moral philosophies. I don't know how you could be a leftist and say "what this place really needs is more right-wing voices" with a straight face. The whole "im just asking questions, everyone deserves to be heard, i just want to hear both sides of the argument" is a common tactic the right uses to try to seem reasonable and propagandize more people. Some ideas aren't worth hearing out and can only do damage to those who listen.

Half of everybody voted for him. This is such a ridiculous post, those are barely off the numbers for the whole election. Which is ridiculous, but why single out this group?

I mean if i was kyle gass id tell jack black to go fuck himself. He made a big fit over a simple joke when his whole shtick(before being a literal clown for Disney(tm)) was being an 'edgy' comedian who writes songs that are supposed to be offensive.

So in this episode they go into a cave, and can read some sort of energy field, as well as Troi having a sense that there are lifeforms present. Geordie explains that the people must be displaced in time, but only by a few milliseconds. If that's true, how is there not overlap? Say the people are a few milliseconds ahead of the enterprise when they arrive, shouldn't they appear a few milliseconds later, as they still would have had to be 'present' during that time? I don't understand how they would be consistently invisible if time is a dimension like space that can be traveled through. Some past (or future) version of them would be present regardless of the desynchronization would they not?

Please if anyone could help me understand or shed some light on this I'd appreciate it.

Does everyone on 4chan have a humiliation fetish? That's a rhetorical question, because obviously who else would go on 4chan.

Wait so our already warm and (relatively) snow less winters over the last few years are now gonna be even warmer and less snowy? Good thing global warming's not real and this is totally just a phase mother earth is going through or something.

The origin of the word actually comes from the Greek myth, and vastly predates the disorder but I'm going to assume you're just trolling.

Everyone always recommends the torrent solutions, plex and the arrs, but unless it's something I'm really excited about or want in extra high quality, I find it's easier to just use the browser streaming sites. In Firefox with ublock there's no ads, it has subtitles for multiple languages loaded automatically usually, and a nice ui that shows most popular show/movies, and has a good catalogue. There's lots to choose from, I think the guide has a list, but the ones I use are:

Bflix.gg Hdtoday.cc Fmovies.to

Quick, simple and painless.
