"I haven't played No Man's Sky since 2020. I wanted to give it another look at some point, mainly because of all those updates. If there are other Hexbears who are interested, I might be as well.
I'd highly recommend it if you already have it! It's a whole new game, seriously better than before.
Let me know if someone else shows interest. I have been holding back to dive back into it. If we get a group together that would be fun.
I will let you know
we have another comrade, i don't know if they actively post on hexbear, but we do have somebody on their way.
I've never played before but I've been interested in trying it for a few year. Problem is I only have a shitty connection and would be playing on a PS4. Would it still work for me to join? I know some online games are still mostly playable even with a bad internet connection, while others are just impossible due to lag. (I get knocked offline a few times per day and I often have to downgrade a streaming video from 720p to 480p to prevent unwatchable amounts of buffering, to give you an idea). I don't have the game yet, so I'm not sure how much any of that makes a difference. I think I'd have to buy the PS4's monthly subscription to be able to play it online too, damnit.
you'd be able to join i'm sure. NMS is pretty well optimised nowadays.
NMS offline thanks to fitgirl etc was lots of fun a few years ago, played last when the abandoned freighters became a thing, not sure if they have any multiplayer hacks yet.
I hope they do, maybe using the gog installer would let you play online?
I think if it would you'd be limited to playing with others with the same 'edition' of the game iirc, or at least that's how it used to be
oh, dang. hopefully that gets figured out one day.
Not sure if it has or hasn't, this was 2021 memories. I remember encountering huge iridium farms, but never seeing anyone because of time zone difference
well hopefully if you try again, you can meet up with comrades at the Marxist-Leninist space commune. the main base is well underway right now, I hope you can join me!
