But didn't you learn to use your your favourite OS at one point in your life?? How is that any different? Did you never learn a single thing from someone else?

You have to learn to ride a bike and drive a car. Are those crap vehicles too? It's not "holier than thou," when your argument is full of holes (hehe).

That's good to hear! Thanks. But I just realized I'd have to rely on PayPal or Wise (which I think are American too) to send devs money lol

I'll wait for your GoG release since they accept my JCB card! Good luck!

I see that you went the general software dev career path, but is that pretty common? We always hear about that disillusioned dev who starts their own game that makes it big (or are warned about those who end up destitute), but rarely about what the vast majority do. What is the "safe" way to change course in your former industry? Also, do you still make games for fun?

And sorry this completely unrelated to your comment, but your video was the very first one I saw on Loops yesterday and appreciated your take on their app.

Wtf that's so much smarter. Thank you.

I raise, shape, stack (with Saran wrap in between), them freeze em. So all I do is put the topping and toss the bad boys into the oven.

I love you too.

Ah, thanks. I thought so. I use GOG for this exact reason but not all the games I'm interested in are available there. I'll just have to play my backlog for now haha.

I have a question for devs. I don't want to support US companies, but I'd like to support US individuals artists/creators. I dunno if you're from the US, but is it possible for someone to wire money to a dev and the dev give me a free copy on Steam thereby avoiding the 30% cut? I'm assuming that's against the EULA...

Right? This just reminds me of how platforms were flooded with clones of clones of clones when mobile games started becoming a thing back in the 2010s.

Like any group, some of them took it way too seriously or let the idea become their entire personality. Genuinely liking something quirky is different from "liking" it just to stand out.

Hipsters were SO annoying. This guy doesn't know wtf he's talking about.

I forgot about Itch. The games on there are so weird

Hey everyone. I just started a community where you can request pro/amateur translators for translations. Anyone can make requests, and anyone can translate!

I was a very active member of /r/translators on Reddit until the platform banned me (not the sub, they were great).

I'm a Japanese-English translator by profession and would love to help you guys out with quick translations. There used to be a lot of requests on Reddit for tattoo ideas.

I haven't added a rule for keeping requests reasonable (i.e. don't expect us to translate a whole book), and not to charge money for translations but don't know how to word it right. I guess I should also decide if NSFW requests would be ok or not. So if anyone could help me there as well, that would be super!

どうぞよろしくお願いいたします!

I cut out the shapes on rubber pads, stamped em on paper in black ink. Used GIMP to adjust the colours, resize, rotate, place the elements. I drew the branches into the paper with a black calligraphy pen and changed the colours.

The text was written using GIMP, I didn't write that. The message is: 謹賀新年2026 昨年は大変お世話になりました 本年もよろしくお願いいたします which roughly translates to Happy New Year. Thanks for s great year last year, I'm looking forward to/wishing you a happy new year.

The two lion things are guardian lions statues prominent on Okinawa, where I live. The horse is there because it is the year of the horse!

Happy new year everyone!

I've noticed that a lot of video descriptions are about some Japanese piezoelectric tech written in English, Japanese, and Chinese. The weird thing is it's not even new tech. Can someone let me in on the joke or whatever it is?

Edit: I should clarify, the video and the description have nothing to do with eachother. I'll be watching a kid smoked in the head with a basketball and the description is about the tech mentioned above.
