Add some pontoons and call it a day.

That's a rational question. Unfortunately it won't get the desired result, because the target audience is not going to behave rationally:

  • The media that they consume is following the fascist playbook. They're telling the audience that if things are not better yet, then it's because there are others still left to blame, and the worse things get the harder those others are going to be blamed for it.
  • Even if someone moves past that propaganda, it's been ingrained into them that to accept being incorrect is to admit failure. They've been primed to dig in and double down, lest their peers see them as a failure, or even worse as others.

It was about a week back.

"Increase social service programs so that we address the reason why they're homeless and doing drugs in the first place."

"No, that's socialism and Fox News tells me I should be scared of that word!"

Every once in a while my feed contains a post with a title that begins with a hashmark, most frequently either microblog type posts with hashtags or numbered project update posts. Summit dutifully renders these titles as if they were markdown titles with a huge font. I would very much appreciate an option to render post titles as-is instead.

A great adventure is waiting for you ahead. Hurry onward beetle, or you will soon be dead. The journey before you may be long and filled with woe. But you must escape the frog's ass, or your tale can't be told.

Moore's law is about circuit density, not about storage, so the premise is invalidated in the first place.

There is research being done into 5D storage crystals, where a disc can theoretically hold up to 360TB of data, but don't hold your breath about them being available soon.

[The signs] are placed along Hurricane Road at the last major intersection before arriving at the bridge crossing. Basically, there’s no way to miss them.

The reporter overestimates most truck drivers' situational awareness.

"Approve" is not the same as "want". 79% of democrats would likely approve of a ham sandwich if that was the only alternative to the cheeto.

You can't just add the balances and expect it to amount to the same as the spend. Consider this: you spend 0, 0, 0, 50. Your balances are 50, 50, 50, 0. Adding up the balances you get 150. What does this mean? Absolutely nothing.
