I remember something about Google asking developers for verification in 2027, will this affect GrapheneOS? Is a Pixel phone really worth buying still?

To my understanding, Signal requires that you have a physical phone to use the desktop version. Is there any way to scan the QR code without a physical device? I'm trying to make an anonymous Signal account.

My idea:

1.) Set up Android VM on Linux laptop

2.) Use laptop camera to scan the QR code on my desktop

Hello,

For some time now I've been really struggling to get a server setup properly with RAID 1. This is an NVR system for cameras, I want to use XFS with this system. I would love if someone could help me or link me to a guide, I cannot find one. Encryption is preferred. A step by step, guide would be great, drop an XMR address and I will send you a tip for your help!

Thank you! :)

No. Avoid this by switching to a free operating system such as Debian. Windows is proprietary, there is no hope for privacy there.

"OpenAI’s Product Lead Adam Fry said during the livestream that ChatGPT Atlas will have the sidecar feature, too. Further, ChatGPT Atlas has “browser history,” meaning that ChatGPT can now log the websites you visit and what you do on them, aynd use that information to make its answers more personalized."

Oh, great! /s

Hello, I'm 21 years old and have been eager to try DMT for the past couple months. My first trip is in two weeks. Although, I've mainly just watched podcasts and YouTube videos about it, I feel like I should learn more before I take off.

Any recommendations?

I use Debian 13 with KDE. I have a JMP.chat number and I use Cheogram on Android for this, works wonderfully. However, on Linux, I've tried different clients, Dino-IM, Gajim, etc. But all of them have their own quirks. Dino-IM seems to work the best for me, though, I was never able to get an phone ringing notification from a incoming call. That was a real downside for me. If anyone knows a way to set it up correctly, or what client I should use, please feel free to post below.

Thank you!

Libreboot supports the Dell 3050 Micro and the Lenovo T480. I was wondering, since it requires the FSP blob, could it be a backdoor? Does anyone know how it works? Compared to the T440p and 9020, those boards are 100% free BIOS, but lack newer microcode updates.

I am trying to study for my Network+, I have an Anki deck I downloaded from the internet that's very helpful, but I have to basically mark down myself which things I'm struggling with. I was wondering if there is a tool available that would automatically turn my deck into a quiz? I do not want to spend a lot of time turning it into a quiz myself, because there is a lot of material. I am okay with using Duck.ai (ChatGPT) for helping me with this, if needed. Just not aware of an easy way to do this.

I'm trying to avoid using non-free sites like Quizlet.

Any help is appreciated!

Hello, I'm wondering if I should use the Linux-libre kernel or if I should stay with the stock Linux kernel. I do want to remain 100% FOSS and have Libreboot installed, but, does it really matter if I use the stock kernel or not? Can the blobs from the stock kernel be a vulnerbility? My only reason for wanting to stay with the stock kernel is because its better maintained and gets audited more. But I'm really just worried about the blobs, can they do anything?

I agree with what you said, but, you're literally using his social media site and most likely paying for that blue checkmark. No offense.

Libreboot.

I provided testing and funding (not as a developer) for computers like the 9020, 9010, 7010, and 780 OptiPlex, as well as the E4300 Latitude and T1700 Precision. All it takes is some collaboration with others in the community to make it possible!

It's gross indeed, I've just never seen anyone say it online or in person, yet.

There is FOSS alternatives out there like Revolt or just plain old IRC which is good enough imo. The Discord bullshit is so annoying.

You have to be REALLY sensitive to get offended by this.

I was with a girl in her room and when she started teaching me about astrology, I just bursted out laughing with how dumb it was. Basically, what you just said before but 10x worse with this girl, there were rocks fucking everywhere. I'm suprised Hank from Breaking Bad didn't show up.

Even though this VW is fully electric, the transmission will still find a way to blow up.

Oh wow I didn't know that. They're from Crucial / Micron, also its DDR3L ECC RAM (8GB x 4) so hopefully they'll accept. Thank you for the information!
