Chill... Royals aren't what they used to be. They are more like well paid circus clowns than power tripping maniacs now.

For a complete rookie, that wanted to learn, this is quite counterintuitive. There are very very fine details on how to install it and get started, and then this is not even described.

Why can't I figure this out! I can change directories as if they ere rooms, but the files don't do anything. I get a warning that there is no such command

I have had my Xiaomi phone for a few years and have mixed feelings about it. It is one of the Redmi Note 12 series.

One thing that is awesome, if maybe the single thing that it is great with, is charging.

It goest from almost 0 to full charge within 15 minuttes! I never realized thatvi needed this, until i had it.

Now, while looking at phones that maybe could take better photos, had less bloatware and maybe just worked better, i just seem to gravitate back to Xiaomi that apparently is one of the few companies that make phones with hyper charge!

I would have imagined that this would be the new standayby now

I am considering one of the higher end flagships of the company, simply because of this but I am still sceptical of their performance and especially all the bloatware and ads that seem to be integrated into their OS

I am pretty new to Linux (a bit over a year) but to be fair, I haven't really messed with it. Once set up, everything works, so I never really use the terminal. to me, it is just an OS, and i don't mess under the hood with it.

I use Mint (Cinnamon) and I am pretty happy with it. My thoughts now are, with a new PC comming, if I should stick to Mint, or install an other distribution?

I use it mainly as a home desktop, but also do some image editing, video editing, learning CAD at the moment and of course a bit of gaming (through Steam)

Any advice is welcomed

I visited a friend who is a professional medical engineer, and watched him work on a 3D design on some software paid for my the university they worked at. The options and features looked very practical!

Although I am not even close to working on so complicated projects, I did love the funtionalities. So now i have decided to put in the effort and learn a decent program, instead of using Tinkercad. I have been very happy with Tinkercad, but some things are only doable with workarounds or very creative methods.

The question is, what software should i start learning?

-FreeCAD
-Fusion 360
-AutoCAD
-Sketchup
-Blender
-LibreCAD
-Something else entirely?

I am technically challenged, so I am asking for help with this setup

hey guys - can you give me some feedback on this setup?

AMD Ryzen 9950X3D DDR5 ram 16GB (6000mhz) 2TB SSD nvme ASROCK B650M pro RS AM5 4xDDR5 PSU 850W

I count on using my old GTX1070 card on it, until the GPU market settles down a bit.

I like gaming, but also use my PC for image, poster and video editing. Would maybe also like to stream at some point. At the moment i use 2 screens at 1080 but wouldn't mind upgrating those too at some point.

Any thoughts on the actual setup and compatibility to linux?

The guy i am in talks with, in regards to this, has suggested savings by changing the CPU:

9950x (10% lower price)
9900X3D (10% lower price)
9800X3D (17% lower price)
9900x (25% lower price)

What would you suggest?

EDIT: thanks for the help folks! I went with 9900X. Also, it turns out that it has double the RAM. it is 2x16gb. I think it should work alright for me.

Easter message by Trump this year, seemed unnaturally coherent, long sentences and too few CAPITALIZED words. This is what he'd have written if it had been his words. ChatGPT knows

EDIT: I replied yes please to the promt, asking for a funnier and over-the-top version:

HAPPY EASTER TO THE GREATEST PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY OF PEOPLE! What a fantastic day — some say the MOST IMPORTANT Easter ever, maybe in the history of the world (a lot of people are saying it). Today we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus — truly a winner. Came back after three days. Most people couldn’t do that. But HE DID. Total comeback story. Very impressive! Let’s be honest — if Jesus were here today, he’d probably say, “You’re doing a tremendous job, folks. Just tremendous.” He believed in TRUTH, in STRENGTH, and in WINNING. Just like us! So eat your chocolate bunnies (but only the best kind — I like the gold ones, made in AMERICA), enjoy the eggs (beautiful eggs, very colorful, not like the fake media), and spend time with your wonderful families — because we love FAMILY, we love GOD, and we LOVE AMERICA. And to all the haters and fake news out there — even YOU get an Easter blessing. Maybe you’ll finally start telling the truth. It’s Easter. Miracles happen! God Bless YOU, God Bless EASTER, and God Bless the USA — the greatest country in the world, and it’s not even close! — President Donald J. Trump 🐣🇺🇸✨

Kissing the hand of an elder is a traditional sign of respect in Turkey - notes the Duvar portal.

That is fair (although weird). Now lets talk about slapping children in the face and giving them money for kissing you!
