Thanks but no thanks.

It might still be the future but in the present ready tracing isn't ready to be mandatory in my opinion.

A good example I think would be ratchet and clank, rift apart.

When running with RT, there is so much noise and blurring that happens with the implementation and running with DLSS helps reduce that noise. In the end I turned it all off and enjoyed it much better with a smooth, high frame rate.

Not exactly making the case that ray tracing is the best solution.

I played it when it first came out and found it to be a solid, meh.

It was serviceable, enjoyable in short bursts with friends but the devs just keep nerfing everything, every weapon, every build that was good until it basically lost all the fun for me.

Well still better than trying to "find bipartisanship" that these idiot leaders keep talking about.

I did not realize they were trying to compete in the first place.

So the most interesting part is the Nvidia vs Asus responses/communication and microcenter pricing starting at 13:30

Can't wait until I see some liquid cooling blocks and AIO solutions for this cable/connector and spec.

Such a shitty spec.

Just a reminder, fuck Bobby Kotick and the rest of these AAA publisher CEO's

I'm surprised it's just a 10% increase.

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

Because he actually gives a shit that Asus and Nvidia are trying to mislead gamers with price per performance on a price that doesn't actually exist?

[-] inclementimmigrant@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago)

And did you just stop listening after the first few minutes?

Because his point is that between Nvidia and Asus they gave these cards to reviewers as a 750 dollar card when clearly they aren't and reviewers are being misled into doing a cost to performance at that price vs what they're actually selling them for. That portion of dishonesty is what he was complaining about.

Not the point he was making but okay.

When the 5070 Ti MSRP isn't the 5070 Ti MSRP.

It's like people don't RTFA before commenting.

That's actually very welcome to me as a older gamer with a family.

I don't have the time for these massive 100+ hour RPGs anytime, I've yet to finish BG 3, which I absolutely love, due to time constraints and trying to remember where I left off.
