Dryad's saddle is an annual mushroom commonly found attached to dead logs and stumps or on living hardwood trees at one point with a thick stem. Generally, the fruit body is round and between 8–30 centimetres (3–12 inches) acros – exceptionally 60 cm (24 in) – and up to 10 cm (4 in) thick. The body can be yellow to brown and has "squamules" or scales on its upper side. On the underside one can see the pores that are characteristic of the genus Cerioporus; they are made up of tubes packed together closely.

It was high up so I couldn’t see the "squamules".

This little guy will be eating those aphids until it’s out of its larval phase, when it will become a bee-mimic hoverfly that dines on pollen and nectar.

This song makes me think of the strength of community and the power many twigs have when bound tightly together.

First, I’d like to say how much I appreciate the Thunder app. It had been overall great!

Lately, just in the past couple days, I’ve been having problems with it showing some images. Most noticeable is the Hexbear stickers.

This is what it looks like on my mobile browser:

And this is how it looks in the Thunder app lately:

As you can see, it isn’t all of them, only some of them that won’t show. It seems like it is only happening in more recent posts, and seems to be mostly the hexbear stickers, but it also seems like some articles’ thumbnails and some uploaded pictures are broken too.

I was wondering if this was happening to others, if there’s a quick fix I could try, or if anyone knows the issue before I submit it as a bug on GitHub. Thanks!

Edit: Can I get some feedback on the downvotes? Is it just because you guys don’t like Hexbear? Because that’s one of the reasons I use Thunder. If it’s something else, like this is a dumb question or “duh, that’s a bug, why not just submit it?”, please let me know. I’m just trying to do the right thing and not waste anyone’s time.

Trump backtracks on campaign pledge to bring down grocery prices

The president-elect walked back what was always a wildly unrealistic campaign promise.

President-elect Donald Trump admitted in an interview with Time magazine that it will be difficult for him to reduce consumer prices, contrary to statements he made on the campaign trail this year.

Trump told Time in an hourlong interview for its “Person of the Year” feature that his presidency wouldn’t be a failure if he failed to bring the price of groceries down.

“I’d like to bring them down. It’s hard to bring things down once they’re up. You know, it’s very hard. But I think that they will,” Trump said, according to the transcript.

Trump is right that it’s very hard to achieve across-the-board price reductions. Curbing inflation is only a matter of slowing the rate of price increases — actual economy-wide price drops typically don’t happen outside of a massive economic downturn.

Nevertheless, Trump repeatedly told voters during the campaign that electing him president would cause prices to tumble.

“We will cut your taxes and inflation, slash your prices, raise your wages and bring thousands of factories back to America,” Trump said at a Georgia rally in October, reciting a line he used in speeches at several other events.
