Nah, i knew i had it. I've almost drowned twice in my lifetime. When I was a kid I got caught in undertow and then as an adult a tubing event went wrong and I was pulled behind a boat by a rope around my arm and neck. I know thalassophobia is more of a fear of the abyss/unknown but since that last incident pretty much anything involving natural bodies of water gives me anxiety.

It took me YEARS to even get out of the first 3 biomes. I have bad thalassophobia. Get yourself the Seamoth Sonar, it hugely reduces the void/wtf is gonna eat me feeling. Thats how I was able to overcome it and eventually beat it, and ive beat it twice now. Its so absolutely amazing and worth pushing through.

From what I've gathered;

The man in the 2nd picture is Rodney Hinton Jr. He intentionally targeted and ran his car over a Cincinnati police deputy. Said deputy shot and killed the man's 16 year old son the day prior. The son, Ryan Hinton, was allegedly breaking into a car, and when the deputy arrived, Ryan attempted to put his hands up and run away. The deputy didnt scream or chase or try to taze Ryan. The deputy instantly fired on, shot, and killed Ryan Hinton.

He ate it about a year later. It was after I moved out of the house. My mom called me freaking out. He apparently started violently throwing up, his face got very swollen, and had to miss a day or so of work. Mission accomplished.

I got away dumping a bunch of hot sauce into his salsa I knew he'd eat. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I showed him!

My mom swears she's okay and Stockholm Syndrome's everything

I have 2 examples.

Ill share one; my stepdad was always a huge piece of shit. He still is, actually. He'd trick us into eating tomatoes. Me at 12 could eat them, whatever. My 5 year old brother was forced to eat them, and got grounded if he didn't. He would actually force us to eat foods we didn't like and would literally backhand us across the face for "disrespecting" that we had food on the table.

I worked at a sub shop that had the hottest of the sauces. I told a similar version of this story to my boss, and got my hands on an illegally 'hot" sauce. I poured the whole bottle into a store-bought salsa i knew he'd eat.

If you truly love your partner, does a ring and a ceremony really do anything?

I know there are certain legal situations where an official marriage changes who has certain rights, but aren't those same rights available if you make other legally-official decisions E.G. a will or trusts, etc?

I'm generally curious why people get married beyond the "because I love them" when it costs so much money.

I keep up with most of the dumpster fire that is current US news but I'm sorta lost on this one. I contribute to my 401k every week and have a few thousand saved up, as well as stock in the company I work for. Is all of the bad news referring to the stock market crashing? Is this general across the board or more company-specific? I consider myself decently politically educated but not so much economically.

I was around 21-22 years old. My step-dad got a boat and we had a big family picnic at the bay. We went tubing and started with the youngest sibling up to the oldest, me. Each of us got a progressively more intense ride. I knew I was up for a crazy ride, so I sat cross-legged IN the tube. That was a huge mistake and very dangerous, always lay on top of the tube in case what I'm about to tell you ever happens to you.

It was fine for a few minutes, despite the intensity. Suddenly, the way the boat turned combined with the wake and position I was sitting, the actual tube launched out from the cover/rope that attaches to the boat and that wrapped around my neck and luckily, one of my arms. I was pulled behind the boat for a few minutes, slowly blacking out, as I finally came to, floating naked in the bay. Luckily my step-brother noticed the tube was gone and told him to stop the boat. No idea when my bathing suit got ripped off but luckily it was floating nearby. I had a huge rope-burnrash across my chest, under my arm, and around my neck. Pretty sure if it wouldn't have went under my arm, it would have snapped my neck.

That was well over a decade ago and I haven't been in the ocean since.

Super cool of you to do! I've definitely been curious to try Hogwarts Legacy.

Random fact I learned recently; dragonflies are statistically the most successful predatora on the planet with a 96% success rate. For comparison, a lion is about 27-34% successful while hunting.

Therizinosaurus! When I saw the previews for the new Jurassic World movie and they teased it, I got chills. I was so stoked.

Somewhere around 2010 I was playing Modern Warfare 2 with my homie and we ended up in a match against a clan. They were talking a lot about Limp Bizkit. We asked how this one guy knew so much about them, and he said "cause I'm the singer haha."

Dude shared the website to his clan which had his gamertag and sure as hell I was playing CoD with Fred Durst. He was really chill.

That would generally be something I agree with, but this is a much different scenario. Voting against Trump is definitely the move.
