Have toucan, can confirm.

I actually got to play with a toucan once, their beaks aren't very powerful, and they can be very friendly.

Very silly screechy little fellows.

They look like nightmare pets but oh boy do I want to play with one.

OK but what about the video I saw last week of toucans catching and eating fucking BATS

[-] ArtemisimetrA@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

Different video, they're just eating a bat in this one, but there's a video somewhere of two toucans sitting high in a tree literally just waiting for the bats to swarm close enough and when they do they get snapped up

Not to be the annoying one, but they also are famous for eating eggs and even young birds from the nest, and I consider that very metal

Ever thought about what a Toucan would look like without a beak? It's haunted me ever since I thought about it myself.

[-] azi@mander.xyz 3 points 3 days ago

what would you look like without a jaw?

[-] MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago

I always dreamed of being an or perhaps a berry!

Joke aside, there is a legitimate point to be made, because plant - herbivore interactions can be modeled similarly to predator - prey interactions. That also works to s certain degree for parasite - host interactions.

It still counts if the prey dies of laughter!
