They're just trying to teach their human to hunt. First step is to demonstrate that the mouse is food. Diva is clearly just getting frustrated with how slow a learner the human is.

We are pretty stupid, after all. Gestures broadly at the ecosystem

[-] dzsimbo@lemm.ee 22 points 10 months ago

I don't think it's due to frustration. Like how a caring parent observes their child's mental level and caters to that. Pure love and the hope to spark joy in new things. Also, yuuuuuuck.

Get yourself to a doctor immediately. Get tested for Hanta virus or whatever else could kill you in your country. Don't wait!

[-] raoulduke85@lemm.ee 15 points 10 months ago

Isn’t that what killed Gene Hackmans wife and he was left to survive with dementia?

[-] MDCCCLV@lemmy.ca 5 points 10 months ago

It's more likely to affect elderly or immunocompromised people. A second of exposure isn't too likely to cause it.

Australians: Finally, we're not on the deadly map!

[-] pressanykeynow@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Likely because anyone who could tell about their strain is dead.

This tells me that Africa is remarkably free of viruses.

Map suggests it might not like hot dry areas.

[-] Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

That makes sense. I don't think rodents like hot, dry areas either.

[-] Tiefkuehlkost@feddit.org 4 points 10 months ago

They also very different in they deadliness, some are at 1% others between 25-40%

[-] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 20 points 10 months ago

[-] cupcakezealot@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 10 months ago

diva did nothing wrong. diva was giving mum a pressie.

[-] ZombiFrancis@sh.itjust.works 12 points 10 months ago

I remember petting what I thought was my cat's paw in the early morning hours once. Nope. She just left a mouse head on my pillow.

[-] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 12 points 10 months ago

Why is it a problem when a cat drops a mouse into the mouth of another cat?

[-] hungprocess@lemmy.sdf.org 7 points 10 months ago

"This is the thanks I get for bringing you breakfast in bed?"

The Mouse and mum at the same Moment.

[-] ZombieMantis@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

And then the cat, moments later, as mom spits out the mouse.

[-] DoucheBagMcSwag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

[-] dumbass@leminal.space 3 points 10 months ago

The top half.

[-] ikon106@sopuli.xyz 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

What's the problem? Do cats not usually give mice to their moms or not in their mouths or what?

[-] stebo02@sopuli.xyz 6 points 10 months ago

this is probably one of those crazy people who think the cat is their child and they're the mum or something

[-] 0x0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 10 months ago

Someone called me a cat dad and it sounded so weird to me. I like to think that my cats view me as "big friend". I'm no father, more of a guardian who wants what's best for my silly creatures and would die for them if it came down to it, but certainly not a father, no siree.

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social 8 points 10 months ago

Also, I feed them , give them advice I know they won't take, and made them the heirs of my estate,

[-] stebo02@sopuli.xyz 3 points 10 months ago

yeah thats reasonable

[-] ikon106@sopuli.xyz 4 points 10 months ago

Ahh that makes the post make more sense. Very gross of the cat

[-] Pnut@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago

So, the emphasis is on "AL EA"?

[-] lowered_lifted@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 10 months ago

The little monster peed on my hoodie that had fallen on the floor. Also inside an open box that had a wire rack I was going to build. I need to figure out what's wrong with her. The urine is very yellow and concentrated. We have fleas we can't get rid of that came from the vet's office when they were spayed, and she's allergic and pees because of that supposedly but it's been less than a month between doses. I did it on the 22nd initially and she has peed on things earlier in the month ever since. I don't know what is wrong with her. It's Revolution Plus she is prescribed.
