The other list of sexually active popes (and other associated clergy) who have "had children" is stashed away in the Vatican somewhere.
Daaamn dude. That was amazing.
Seems like pretty low hanging fruit tbh (not that I'm criticizing but it was the first joke that popped into my head too)
I’m pretty sure most of the popes were sexually active.
They “had” children. Sexually.
Because all religion is a scam used to control fools and children.
And Catholic priests swear they will never ever have sex with women and surround themselves with boys in dresses.
And they raped millions of kids. Doubtless many of them were raped themselves too.
But no one rapes as many kids as the Catholic Church.
But no one rapes as many kids as the Catholic Church.
Capitalism (esp. Reagan and Thatcher) would challenge that.
Figuratively, yes. Literally, no.
Part of classical studies back in college was mention of the common presence of “the housekeeper” in Roman Catholic clergy households. It was a well known secret they were more than housekeepers. I forget when, but at some point in history it became faux pas and the church started enforcing celibacy.
The "housekeeper" was an unmarried woman who lived in the same house as the priest, often for life, and if she got pregnant, the Catholic church would financially support the baby.
At which point it’s strange and illogical to not allow them to marry. Priests of other denominations marry and I’m pretty sure most of them haven’t burst into flame.
Some event recently inspired me to duckduckgo political system in Vatican. And Vatican is elective monarchy. And most often elective monarchies gradually become inheritable monarchies. But Vatican for some reason kept their status for millennials. :) So I believe political reasons are somewhere in this direction for priests and their fortune. However there are also some theological reasons for this decision in church.
Go on, go on, go on.
Priests having female housekeepers is still very common. Because men back then did not know how to take care of themselves. And some still do not. It was common for them to take their sisters as housekeepers just to avoid rumors. Or young priests purposely have housekeepers that are really old.
So by not denying in some occasions they were living as a couple, this was never the default. But yes rumors were and still are the default.
Sexually active
I mean, wouldn't that be all of them?
Even the ones who claim to be celibate are wanking day in and day out. Let's be honest here.
Your libido really drops off after your 30s. Sure they jerk it, but probably less than twice per day.
How could this happen? I didn't realize prepubescent boys could get pregnant.
Did they maybe have F2M boys and some of them they kept fucking after puberty or something?
