Fun Fact:

1955 is how long we've officially existed, originally under the name "hyperkinetic reaction of childhood". šŸ˜…

Definitely long enough to rub in the faces of the no one had ADHD in my day crowd, which is what's important.

we should rename adhd again, it really sucks to be only known by the things that annoy others, and not the actual struggles we face. maybe something like "dopamine production disorder" or perhaps "executive functioning disorder"

Definitely! The name (negatively?) shapes how people think of the condition, too.

I'm a fan of "Executive Function Disorder", personally.

Dopamine Deficit Disorder is one I like since it gets to the root cause. Also DDD is kewl.

though the D³ sounds cool the nerds (doctors) would probably be against it as it's a double negative that implies we get more dopamine than the intended deficit of it? or whatever a disorder of a deficit would be, honestly i'm not sure

Isn't the term already exists now? Executive Dysfunction

I dunno, granted this is the first I've heard the word but from that definition I get the impression that a quidler intentionally has their priorities mixed up, as a way of stalling perhaps? Procrastination is a bit different I think, something I do by accident, even when I'm aware that it's happening

Yeah, it does sound to me like intent is implied in quiddling.

I'm just saying that we need to get this bike shed right, everything else depends on it
