I am pretty sure that CAVA has some black magic fuckery going on. I always get my greens and grains bowl to go with the dressing on the side. When I get home I put it into a huge mixing bowl, add the dressing and mix. I eat half and save the other half for tomorrow, so I put the left overs back into the original take out container and it fucking fills it up! How? I just ate half of it, how is it still full?

I live this advice. I have enough 3qt mixing bowls to count as tableware, and I serve salad exclusively in them. Never again will anybody eating at my home suffer the indignity of gently folding over the top layer of their salad instead of tossing it to avoid flinging carrot bits across the room

That's why salad bowls exist and they're big.

And surprise. Still too small.

I also like to use bowls with more vertical sides as it helps prevent stuff escaping the bowl.

It's become a habit of me to used the biggest bowl for many things.
