Hello from Iran, still alive
Stay safe and death to Israel
Tel Aviv has been hit. Glory to the resistance.
Benjamin Netanyahu I wanna beat the shit out of you.
Israel now adds Iranian children to the long list of children it kills.
"Head of Shahid Chamran Hospital: Today we received the bodies of children aged 4, 5, and 6 years old."
Jesus fuck good morning to you all too
This really does not look good
It does not, Iran has no choice but to retaliate and that could mean the US getting the war with Iran they always wanted.
😍
So what are the odds that this is actualy going to create a war.
Pretty high given they're already saying this isn't going to be a one day strike, but gonna last a week. There's no way Iran just sits and absorbs it.
I hope so. Honestly I am hoping that this is the peak of the huberous from the US and their puppet, and that this can put a close on their reign of terror. Especialy right now I belive the US is still drained of resources, due to ukraine.
that being said there have been so many "this HAS to be the red line moments" that have passed with nothing
Iran was pretty serious about their red lines in the last tit for tat. The response by israel to True Promise Two was rather pathetic which is why True Promise Three never happened.
israel forgetting that it had to back down is in line with their habit of believing their own propaganda lies. Its similar to how they forgot about how bad things get when they try to hold ground against The Resistance instead just of bombing civilians. I think they will be shocked by the response to this strike and it may be enough to break them because I don't think Iran will stop until they are done.
It just has to be bad enough that all of the "dual-citizenship" settlers get rattled, unsettle, and fuck off back to where they came from. It's not a country but a project, and its viability ends if it doesn't have enough participants.
The response by israel to True Promise Two was rather pathetic which is why True Promise Three never happened.
I disagree. While the Israeli response wasn't as visually impactful as Operation True Promise II, it paved the way for the current Israeli attack that's taking place, taking out the advanced radars for air defence systems. HAWK, S-300, etc.
This was only ever stated by isisrael. There was little to no evidence that they hit more than one radar dish.
Furthermore if israel felt like Iran was vulnerable to attack there is no reason israel would have stopped at one bombing run. If Iran felt it had lost its defensive capabilities that would be an existential threat and they would have had no choice to make decisive strikes.
Yeah, it's really hard to say how this will play out.
I still remember how yesteryear I was replaying Conflict: The Middle East Political Simulator while listening to Al Jazeera, and afterwards I assembled this image as a snarky comment on the Islamic Rep. of Iran launching drones at the occupation. At the time, I did not seriously believe that the Islamic Rep. of Iran was going to invade the occupation, only devastate the IOF. Now? An invasion doesn’t sound that unlikely. Maybe Tehran will limit itself to mere bombardments, but at this point, who knows.
All that I can say with certainty is that I’m mad at how this entire situation has been a waste of everything. A huge waste of Palestinian lives, a waste of the effort and other resources that went into their neighborhoods, a waste of their precious history, a waste of their time, a waste of our planet, and it is all because of this settler-colonial project that never needed to happen.
It really depends on how explicitly donald told benny "Do not bomb Iran." I think we'll know a lot based on the tone if/when donald comments on the strikes. I'm leaning towards him being ok with the strike but if he's upset I imagine he will be very upset.
here's what Israeli media is reporting https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/report-us-helped-lull-iran-into-belief-no-attack-imminent/
If this does not erode all trust in the US I do not know what will, right here is an admission the peace talks where just a front to get everyones guard down
he already said he will back up isn'treal if need be
The ressources spent in Ukraine are sadly not the ones necessary for good old terror bombings and naval warfare.
It’s clear Israel is deadset on the war. Iran might as well get on with it.
Also, how do so many Israeli airplanes manage to violated Iranian airspace with seemingly no consequences
looks like Israel sent agents into Iran to disable AD systems in coordination with the strikes https://ca.news.yahoo.com/revealed-mossad-commandos-launched-secret-105629519.html
Stealth works, plus Israel already took out Iran's most advanced radars, their S-300 fire control radars, in previous attacks. After the initial attack waves, even non stealth aircraft likely entered Iranian airspace. Plus Israel has advanced stand off weapons like air launched ballistic and cruise missiles that can be fired from hundreds or even over a thousand kilometres away from the target.
That doesn't track given that we know Yemen nearly shot down an F-35, it's pretty clear that stealth doesn't actually work all that well. https://www.twz.com/air/how-the-houthis-rickety-air-defenses-can-threaten-the-stealthy-f-35
Taking some shots at the hot exhaust of an F-35, while a commendable achievement for a group such as Ansarallah, is not the same as shooting one down. At the end of the day, they shot down zero planes.
"Stealth" is a valuable technological concept that was first discovered by the Soviets in the 1960s, that an object's radar return is related to its shape and not only it's size, and thus can be minimised by changing it's shape.
Clearly it works, we've had many cases of stealth aircraft taking their adversaries by complete surprise, from the Gulf war to Yugoslavia to now. There are videos online now where you can hear Israeli aircraft in the background over Iranian skies.
Is it a Hollywood tier invisibility cloak? No, and it's possible to shoot down stealth aircraft. But it's a force multipler, which is why China is working very hard on their 6th generation stealth aircraft and their own analogue to the F-35, called the J-35.
Stealth has been a joke this whole time, and NATO first learned this when Yugoslavia tool out a "stealth" jet.
What Israel actually did was to send agents to directly attack and jam AD systems in coordination with their attack.

Well that sucks for them to say they least
Too many global south nations obsessed with being right and convincing their very oppressors that they are being treated unfairly. Boo hoo, you are running a state full of brown people and want sympathy from genocidal racists?
Oh, is a nuke Unislamic? I guess your generals can let god know when the zios send them to him.
Oh, you want to engage in talks? Let me know how that went for Russia and Gaza, not even a month ago.
Oh, are you building an alliance? China and Russia won't even end trade with the entity.
Why do they want to lead a state when they have zero state craft? If they want to be praised by the west, just bring in the shahs of sunset back in power and let them hand everything over to BP and ExxonMobil.
Edit: i dont mean to disrespect Islam or Muslims above. I just think they are being goody two shoes more than they need to.
The nuclear fatwa drives me crazy. Astagfurallah, this is an issue of anhilation against your people, under such a circumstances it's absurd to issue such a general statement regarding a defensive deterrent.
The reformists as a whole are so naive about reproachment with the west and its mind boggling to me. How is it that the principalists, literal conservative islamists, are more rational on the topic of geopolitics but can't figure out that insane morality laws aren't worth defending and only delegitmize their leadership to the public.
I'm not going to say Iran should respond with full force. They are a country if 80 million people, so I feel restraint is a fair response to the bloodthirsty imperialists. However if you are going to show restraint then why can't you take safer approaches to geopolitics and domestic matters.
Iran just responded, thank goodness. Flatten tel aviv!
China and Russia won’t even end trade with the entity.
I fucking wish.
Iran is retaliating faster than I expected. Looks like this might be more than another "Nothing Ever Happens"
When you feel like a gimp, always remember the jordanian and iraqi governments exist.
I wonder what happened to the Iranian air defenses. Have they been hacked or why they underperform against the zionist aggression...
Ahh, I have way too many questions.
Their most advanced air defence radars were already destroyed in previous Israeli attacks
S-300 radar vehicle hit during April
HAWK or S-300 air defence site in Tehran on fire during October:
Kahrizak air defense base on fire/explosion in Tehran during October, likely S-300 site
The Israelis were talking about doing this for over 6 months
Those weren't destroyed, they were only damaged. Most of the attack was drones, and most of the AD was on top of missile cities. It appears that Iranian AD was simply overwhelmed. But due to Fog of War, it is hard to know right now.
This was from April and October last year, not the current attack.
Yes, I am talking about that. Iran deterred the main attack and Israel went on a media rampage. We looked at the evidence and believe that brOSINT (aka CIA) is not correct in saying that the AD was downed.
In the current attack, allegedly the main AD force was on missile cities and the big bang attacks were all drones like Spiderweb
We will know in the future, but Israeli propaganda is strong
I was wondering about that as well. Could be that they've made interceptions, but this is just what got through. No AD system is perfect at the end of the day.
Air strikes should only be considered as a last resort. However, based on their comments and behavior, no positive outcomes can be expected. We made the decision to preemptively strike Iran for these reasons.
The lemmy.world excuse! Preemptively doing the act of last resort.
This cartoon just happened to appear right next to this article in my feed. Couldn't be more relevant.
