Spreading out protest will make it hard on them

[-] Zier@fedia.io 37 points 1 month ago

Will they declare 'martial law' by midnight?

[-] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 30 points 1 month ago

Or after they really fuck up. Whichever comes first.

There's already military and a curfew there..

[-] mhague@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

What's the timeline going to be? Proud Boys scheduled to burn cars at 4, news and ramping up at 5, martial law before sundown?

Wait a minute... Every single officer?

I wonder how many people in LA have a single cop for a neighbor.

LOL single cops in [your area] are looking to chat

Don’t click that, Timmy. Not because it’s a pop up that will probably install a bunch of plugins. We don’t talk to cops regardless of their relationship status.

Everyone get a good night's sleep tonight so you'll be well rested and ready to have fun storming the castle! In a nonviolent way of course

[-] arin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Castle is not in this state

Remember that one protest 10k strong is easier for the pigs to suppress rather than 10 protests 1k strong

Never seen that, and a Luc Besson movie at that! I know what I'm doing next!

[-] FaceDeer@fedia.io 5 points 1 month ago

I recently read that the original script and direction called for a more subdued "Everyone," but Gary Oldman did one completely over-the-top take as a lark and that was the one they settled on in editing.

Well, they chose good. Just finished watching it and couldn't imagine it any better than that. The movie was fantastic.

[-] khannie@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Oh you're in for a treat. Quality movie.

[-] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 4 points 1 month ago

Already been treated! It was amazing

That movie launched Natalie Portman's career. Unfortunately, she was sexualized slightly while filming. She was 12 years old at the time the movie was made. Great movie otherwise.
