I think one of the most vile and pathetic things Israel does with its propaganda is when they purposely draw parallels with America. Like how they're calling this "our 9/11" (as they literally demolish towers in Gaza on live TV). Or how a few years back, during some Palestinian border protests, they were showing the proximity of the clashes to some shitty Israeli settlement suburb in a clear attempt to elicit comparisons to America's border. They know their target audience.

I know we are aware of the mainstream media's bullshit but it's very much a They Live sunglasses moment that they consistently call Palestinian fighters "terrorists" and "Islamists". For fucks sake, killing an Israeli commander is "simply" an act of war in their war of independence, not religious terrorism. And so on.

They are trying really hard to spin this as a "terrorist insurgency based on radical Islam extremism" instead of an anti-colonial revolution.

I wonder if this is another event in the cascade failure of the American empire. With so much of their forces pinned down in Europe and munitions depleted because of Ukraine, can the empire bail Israel out? Even if so, can it bail Israel out id Hezbollah joins in, and then if Iran starts interdicting American shipping through Hormuz?
