I've almost beaten Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines for the first time. I can see why it's as revered as it is, because the game is excellent.

There's one line of dialog that stuck in my head as being really dumb though. I was talking to the Anarchs early in the game while trying to get the lay of the land for vampire politics. One of them said "Communism always fails for humans, but it would totally work for vampires". Gotta love media from the 2000s.

Kerbal Space Program. I saw it in summer sale for steam for something crazy like $5 and had always wanted to play.

the physics engine and mechanics of advancement in "science" mode are addicting. the tutorials are good for learning the system and it depends my appreciation for the knowledge and achievement of actual space programs.

I have successfully left the atmosphere and have had successful/safe multistage suborbital flights and recorded all of the associated data, but now I finally understand the mechanics of achieving and returning safely from orbital flight.

Borderlands 3, much to my shame.

Why did I do this? I vaguely recall liking the previous games when I was a child. Do not follow the swamp lights of nostalgia my friends, it will drown you.

Its humour is cringe and Reddit brained to an uncomfortable degree, but I'm actually kinda liking the gameplay.

I've already played through with a gunner, and now I'm trying a melee siren build. Don't know If I'll have the patience to try out the other classes, though. The game's starting to wear thin already, and the writing certainly isn't keeping me invested.

I'm helping a friend move today, but I did finish Super Mario 3D World with my nephew last week. I'm sure we'll tackle Bowser's Fury next.

I've been playing The Finals recently and holy shit it's a hidden gem. It's an fps with fully destructible environments and a great movement and the utility system is a lot of fun. But since I'm away from my PC this weekend, probably Love and Deepspace for me.

Picked up Citizen Sleeper yesterday and played a good amount of it. It's a pretty great narrative game, though it's a little short, and it gives up on the idea of your resources being extremely pressed and restricting pretty quick.

Other than that, been playing a lot of Operation Eight Claw in Warframe. Already have all the legendary arcanes, so now I'm just working my way through the less rare ones. I really like the new event, when it isn't buggy, though IMO the Steel Path version should really give Duviri arcanes because as-is there's not really a reason to do it.

1. I finished Ori and the Will of Wisps. The story is nu-pixar-tier emotionally manipulative libslop which might sound surprising for such a simple family-targeted game but the villain is one of those "I was rejected by society as a minority so... I will destroy everything" types. The platforming and bosses were really good though, it just didn't grab me as anything beyond a good toy I guess. So it was an 8.3/10 for me.

2. I played Minishoot' Adventures and shelved it after beating the true last boss. Don't get me wrong, it's a good twin-stick shooter and decent metroidvania with addicting exploration, however I find the artstyle a bit bland and the story is pretty much non-existent, so I can't be assed to do the optional post-game battle challenges without any exploration in new areas sprinkled in. It was a 7.5/10 for me pretty much.

3. I also tried Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo after trying and liking the demo, but the actual game didn't manage to grab me so I refunded it. I didn't really like the yoyo combat which utilizes sloped walls to pierce through many enemies, also the town you explore throughout the game was a bit boring for me.

if you haven't played The Alters you're missing out. it's a really novel idea and the story is pretty cool

I'm at the monolith in Clair obscur, might pause for another Victoria communism run. Or a bout in balatro. Or maybe a few days in the life of Dave the Diver.

I'm replaying Morrowind with openmw and the total overhaul modlist minus some stuff I didn't like. It's awesome!

I'm playing this cute little guy With a custom "abolitionist" class and going around killing slavers and liberating slaves, with a never kill a beast race rule. He rizzes people up to like him and get good deals or info, or talks shit to start a fight, then stabs them with a spear that heals him. Desecrates dunmer tombs, sneaks around and will rob you blind if you're a dick, and since all the locals think he's a disgusting farm implement, he's rich as hell. Big recommend!

I beat Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer on the DS a month and a half ago and moved on to playing the English translation of Shiren the Wanderer: The Eye of God and the Devil's Navel on PSP. It's the same base Shiren-style game but with more feature like equipment upgrades, runes for weapons, new items, new enemies and the ability to tag and retrieve lost equipment. A nice graphical upgrade too with it being on PSP.

I appreciate all the QoL features which streamlines the experience trememndously. Allies will now walkthrough NPCs without getting stuck behind them, there's new revival and escape herbs that allow you to revive if you do or escape back to the beginning with all your items if you hit a difficult snag.

At this point, playing for over a month, I'd say it's the best Shiren game I've played yet. I do have the new one that just released on PC and Switch but haven't gotten to it yet. Honestly, the 3D chibi graphics put me off a bit too. I'll play it eventually but I'm not in a rush. For me Shiren is a pickup and play handheld game. I play it in 15-20 min bursts on the bus.

Also contemplating playing Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura on my laptop, especially since I'm GMing a Steampunk tabletop game on Discord, but I don't know if I have the stamina for an old school CRPG right now.

Picked up Total War: Three Kingdoms a few days ago and will probably put a few hours into it until i have to make dinner.

Im gonna start playing Legends of Amberland 2 in a bit. Its a dungeon crawler inspired by classics such as Wizardry and Ultima. I actually never played any dungeon crawlers but this one came recommend by a friend since its on the easier and shorter side. Hope to break into the gerne (dungeon crawlers) with this game.

I heard the devs behind Amberland 2 are working on a 3rd game as well. So I hope that turns out good for them

Alternating between horizon forbidden west and my Kotor 2 playthroughs (playing along with more civilized age, so I'm doing light and dark side).

Finished lies of P Overture, and it's really great. The initial release was insanely overtuned and boss would basically kill you in a single hit. They added difficulty modes so turning it down did result in you surviving two attacks but that was it. The patch that came out after week basically fixed them below new game plus 3, so you didn't have to perfect parry their entire movement to win the fight. I liked it and it establishes some more cool lore for that setting.

Beat my yearly Resident Evil 1 game yesterday, started replaying Final Fantasy VII today. RU Tracker and GOG Games ftw, so many games to choose from.

i keep playing jedi survivor, the combat is pog, hate the attempting of hub system, and don't know why they keep so many options for lightsaber customization, you can't see the fucking thing anyway, the story is so-so, but by starwars standards fine.

also latest vikky patch is halfpog half meh, treaties to buy out regions are nice as well as doing shenanigans with trade with subsidies, but still infamy gen and electricity gives headaches (why on earth demanding reparations while being attacked gives as much infamy as just straight annexing parts of countries ). electricity in big countries is just headache inducing. why demanding to ban slavery gives infamy in 20th century?

After playing Remnants all week with two buddies, we're going into the second one tonight and I can't wait ! I like the difficult aspect of it and trying together and find solutions.

The first one is already quite good, I really hope the second holds up, but I saw the name of gearbox as the publisher and I worry a little bit.

I fell off from Breath of the Wild after around 20 hours. It's a great game and I'll come back to it. But I started playing it as my spring game and now it's summer so I want to play something with summer vibes - I started playing Cyberpunk for the first time. I'm 10 hours in and so far it hasn't really grabbed me but I'll keep playing it

I came back to Lies of P after playing it for maybe 8 hours about a year ago. I remember getting frustrated with the mechanics but I was also playing a lot of elden ring at the time. I just don't think I realized at the time that rolling constantly is not what you should be doing. I honed in on guarding (and perfect guards which will stagger) and occasionally rolling, and went all in on a Technique build this time. I love it. I'm probably gonna crush the game in about a week, and then move right onto the DLC that just came out

I’ve been playing space marine remastered, some decent mindless fun. Definitely shows its age in terms of gameplay, not that it’s bad but definitely of its time.

Started playing Age of Mythology after finding my old copy as I've never actually beat the campaign + the titans expansion. Age of empires/mythology really hits that RTS itch.

My sister got me Cyberpunk 2077 as a belated birthday gift. I remember back in 2020, she tried to convince me to "trade birthday gift requests" so she could get Animal Crossing earlier than her birthday but the only video game I was willing to trade on was Cyberpunk and it had just got delayed again.

I accidentally deleted my armored core 3 data so I had to restart (again). And i'm doing much, much better the third time, especially once I got over my fear of selling the starter parts, which are garbage. I've got a super fast lightweight build and i stomped the arena so now i'm stacked on cash which is good because it feels like the early missions dont give you much. I've also gotten better at using the controls and it's very rewarding. Old gen is clunky as hell until you learn to move smoothly by not landing hard and not killing your booster on the ground. I love it.

I've also been playing armored core 6 multiplayer again and to be honest, after coming back from old gen I actually kind of hate the stagger mechanic (at least in multiplayer)

Life stresses got me wanting a win... so I've gone back to Master of Orion 1.

Fuck the AI "diplomacy" to all the hells though...
