There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

The Country of the Week is Palestine! Feel free to chime in with books, essays, longform articles, even stories and anecdotes or rants. More detail here.

Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

The weekly update is here.

The bulletins site is down.

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Add to the above list if you can.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

CNN's website has this ~1 hour old article: Israeli official says government cannot confirm babies were beheaded in Hamas attack | CNN

A minute ago a CNN anchor clued me into the new hasbara spin: "Hamas was willing to kill babies so..." At that point I paused and googled for two reasons. I needed to confirm there was no proof of the beheadings or or rest of the lies. It was still beheaded baby vibes. And I needed to stop myself from taking my desktop screen, lifting it over my head, and bringing it down repeatedly until I passed out from injury and pain.

All the experts on the Ukraine conflict have now become Middle East experts.

Influencers. They go with whatever's the hottest "content".

Starting to think the IDF hasn't actually sent much armour to Gaza and has instead sent the vast majority of their armour to the northern border with Lebanon due to fears about Hezbollah.

Also think that any timescale we see them give for anything should be doubled or tripled.

Britain will facilitate flights out of Israel to help its citizens leave the country, with the first such flight due to depart Tel Aviv later on Thursday, the foreign office said in a statement.

"Vulnerable British nationals will be prioritised for these flights. At this stage we will contact those who are eligible for the flights directly and British nationals should not make their way to the airport unless they are called," the foreign office statement said.

The flights would be open to British nationals and dual-nationals. Their dependents would also be eligible if travelling with a British national normally resident in the UK.

They would be commercial flights, with tickets costing 300 pounds ($369.12), the foreign office said.

Lol, you have to pay to be evacuated from Israel? Wtf? Most Latin American governments send their air force to save their people for free.

"South Africans are taking to the streets in support of Palestinians"

It's a 2 minute video, pretty good. The part about the guy that spent 10 years imprisoned on Robben Island for fighting against apartheid as a young man made me a bit emotional.

One of my sources has just sent me this plan found on the body of one of the Hamas terrorists involved in last saturday's attack.

This confirms that they deliberately targeted children, truly sickening shit. It's incomprehensible how you tankies can still support Palestine.

Got banned from a bunch of reddits, advocating for genocide and the death of Arabs is ok. Telling those advocates that they should kill themselves or that I will do it for them is however uncivil and a ban-able offense.

Strap me to a missile and fire me at the US.

Israeli intelligence had no information about the preparation of an attack by the Palestinian Hamas movement, American and Israeli officials told The New York Times. They called it an intelligence failure.

The newspaper notes that Hamas managed to “suppress” Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system. It was overloaded with “a barrage of inexpensive but deadly missiles,” writes the NYT, specifying that the missile defense system itself is already ten years old.

The Governments of Spain and Ireland both officially protested against the decision by the European Union to block and suspend all financial aid funding to Palestine. Belgium was also not too happy about it but I can't find confirmation that they protested it in an official capacity.

Even when they’re ostensibly pro-Palestine, western commentators can’t help but fall into the same trop a when talking about Hamas. Alice Trashfuture out of nowhere said “Hamas is going to go into these settlements and kill incriminately and the Israeli right get to say we’re going to bulldoze Gaza into the sea, like they always have been”. On the surface indicting Israel, but playing into the fucking both-sides narrative. Exhausting

I think we're very close to a world war now. If, and it's a big if, this war broadens to include any of Israel's neighbors and then/or Iran, I think the cat's out of the fucking bag.

This is really fucking it. This is turning into a battle for the middle east.

Where's the off ramp? Where's the opportunity to de-escalate? There is none. There is a very very real chance the US gets dragged into a war with Iran over this.

🚨 The ONLY source for the "beheaded babies" claim is a pro-genocide member of a radical settler movement

Despite the claim of the discovery of beheaded Jewish babies being reported across the world, we still have no evidence for this except one man's claim: a settler named David Ben Zion.

One funny wrinkle to recent events in Isreal that I haven't seen mentionied much is that back at the G20 meeting the India-Middle-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), meant to counter China's BRI, was inaugurated. The idea being to facilitate the constructing of things like rail networks and hydrogen pipelines. This initiative finds its origins in the I2U2 group, consisting of India, Isreal, UAE and the US. Notably, Israel proposed the idea of increased interconnectivity through rail.

The inevitable reliance on risk-averse private companies makes the financing of such projects hard for the West under normal circumstances. But with Isreal's genocidal policies flaring up tensions in the whole region, it seems dead in the water.

This whole thing is such a massive strategic failure for the US. They wanted to pivot to East Asia, pull back from West Asia, improve relations in Africa, focus on containing China. But instead they are overextending themselves with Ukraine and Isreal. Their focus completely opposite of where they wanted it it be.

US reportedly allows Israel to confront any threat anywhere

According to the report, the US gave Israel the "green light to confront any threat on any front and in any geography." [...] The United States has allowed Israel to attack any target anywhere if it determines it poses a threat, Al-Arabiya reported on Friday, citing Israeli sources.
