Robert Kennedy Jr. is facing fresh questions about his ties to Jeffrey Epstein after a photograph emerged of the Health Secretary partying with the now-deceased child sex trafficker in Manhattan.

Kennedy himself revealed the ties in a series of interviews he gave while campaigning for the 2024 election, before he dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump in exchange for a role in his administration.

“I was on Jeffrey Epstein’s jet two times,” Kennedy said in a December 2023 Fox News interview, referencing the plane widely dubbed the “Lolita Express” due to its use for taking young girls to Epstein’s private island.

"My wife had some kind of relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, and they offered us a ride to Palm Beach,” he added, referring to his late ex-wife, Mary Richardson Kennedy, who died by suicide in 2012.

Wow, what a coincidence. RFK goes way back with Maxwell in particular. Are we still draining swamps? Getting rid of balls of worms? Bc they're all fucking just the worst.

And don't forget Epstein's estate is still making money off of his investments with Peter Thiel.

Jeffrey Epstein Invested With Peter Thiel, and His Estate Is Reaping Millions

Mr. Epstein’s investment with Mr. Thiel’s firm has not been previously reported or publicly disclosed. There’s a good chance much of the windfall will not go to any of the roughly 200 victims whom the disgraced financier abused when they were teenagers or young women. Those victims have already received monetary settlements from the estate, which required them to sign broad releases that gave up the right to bring future claims against it or individuals associated with it. The money is more likely to be distributed to one of Mr. Epstein’s former girlfriends and two of his long-term advisers, who have been named the beneficiaries of his estate. The only known beneficiaries of the trust are a former girlfriend, Karyna Shuliak, and the co-executors of the estate, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, both longtime advisers to Mr. Epstein. The 1953 Trust has never been made public. Ms. Shuliak’s lawyer declined to comment.

With all that money Thiel makes from government contracts being given to him because of Trump and Vance, Epstein's estate (in addition to the many people in the administration like Steven Miller with their own investments) also continues to make more money.

One advisor was his lawyer and one was his accountant. And both claim they had no knowledge of what he was doing...

Maxwell also tried to sue them a few years ago to get a cut of that estate bc as she argued, she was also an employee of Epstein and entitled to that money.

Has anyone seriously followed the money trails between Epstein and his affluent clients? Surely they paid him large sums for his depraved services?

[-] Revan343@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 week ago

I'm sure some of them did, but I'm sure others paid in favors of the politically corrupt variety

Being pictured, associating, knowing, having partied or being in the general vicinity of Epstein doesn’t really mean anything. Wherever there was a concentration of net worths the guy was there.

Flying on a private jet with Epstein bc your wife was friends with Maxwell is not being in the general vicinity of. And "partying with Epstein" is not like they both accidentally wound up at the same party.

This dude's entire career was sex trafficking. If he was "partying" he was working.

Like I told the other guy I’m not defending RFK specifically, but Epstein knew pretty much everyone in the 1%. It’s a small club. You need a lot more proof than a photo or riding his jet. Like I don’t know if you know this but people with jets let other people use it all the time, including strangers. It’s pretty normal for them.

I’m just not one for throwing accusations without strong evidence only because I don’t like the person. But that’s just me.

And all those other women RFK has been accused of sexually assaulting really speak to his character, plus all the other unstable shit he's done. A+ standup guy. At least he apologized, so I guess that's a good sign. RFK Jr texts apology to sexual assault accuser - reports

Kennedy has also come under scrutiny over trips he took on Epstein’s private plane, his late wife’s links with convicted associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and his past association with former industry titans such as Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby.

Oh good, the whole gang is here.

But Kennedy, the nephew of former president John F. Kennedy, came under fire for the plane rides again last year when he bizarrely defended his association with Epstein by listing other sex predators he knew.

"I mean, I knew Harvey Weinstein. I knew Roger Ailes. I knew... O.J. Simpson came to my house. Bill Cosby came to my house,” Kennedy told comedian Andrew Schulz during a podcast. The comments were widely pilloried, given Weinstein was a notorious Hollywood mogul convicted of rape; Ailes was ousted as the head of Fox News amid sexual harassment allegations; Simpson was acquitted in a double murder case involving his former wife and her friend; and Cosby was jailed for sexual assault before a court overturned his conviction.

So clearly this proves his relationship with Epstein was a nothing burger, bc most of his friends are creepy rich men that have done horrific things and gotten away with it waaay too many times.

Caroline Kennedy has finally gone public in a letter to the Senate nominating committee—plus an accompanying Instagram video—to describe her cousin as a “predator” who, despite overcoming heroin addiction, went on to “misrepresent, lie, and cheat his way through life.”

But other than all that, I guess it's kind of unfair for people to jump to any conclusions.

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

Ok you’re just kinda unhinged or something because I’m not really defending RFK, I’m just saying that you need actual evidence to accuse him or anyone of anything just for knowing or even having a friendship with Epstein. I’ve hung out with people who have been accused of crimes, does that mean I must necessarily be a conspirator with them?

So let's ignore his own sexual assault on his baby sitter. You've hung out with sex traffickers and rapists? Bc there's a big difference between people who commit crimes and people who commit crimes of sexual assault. Especially when the same person commits multiple sexual assaults. Even stranger if you're friends with multiple people who have committed multiple sexual assaults.

And yeah, this shit has me pretty riled up and "unhinged." I find it a little odd that someone would be white knighting RFK in this situation.

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

For all I know yes, multiple times maybe. I don’t ask for people’s criminal history when I meet them and not everyone I hang out with is an intimate friend even if I hang out with them in multiple occasions. But just as likely no.

I’m not defending him specifically, I repeat for the third time.

But this guy knew he'd hung out with a bunch of rapists. And the only reason we know that is because he tried to downplay the fact that he'd hung out with one rapist, by bringing up all the other rapists he'd also hung out with. As if to normalize associating with rapists. So I'm not sure why you feel the need to defend the general situation, when you have all this additional information about this specific situation?

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

One time? Sure.

But there are so many photos and videos of these same people at parties, many with underaged girls, and certain people are at nearly all of them.

Why would anyone defend them after all we’ve seen? They certainly wouldn’t defend you.

*autocorrect

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It’s like Diddy, is every other rapper a sexual predator like him then? Or what about that Weinstein? Is 90% of Hollywood also conspiring with him to abuse women? You gotta understand these are small circles, no shit they are photographed together and in parties together, it’s like if you belonged to a club and someone in your club was a criminal. Does that mean you must also necessarily be a criminal? Even if you have committed crimes yourself, separate from the crimes of that person. It’s easy to imagine that yes you might be, but it doesn’t mean it necessarily is true.

Whether someone would defend me or not does not factor in the equation. If I would defend the same principle im stating if this was Obama who had a picture with Epstein in the same party it would be extremely hypocritical of me to take the opposite stance simply because it’s some one I do not like. I’m never gonna lend myself to hypocrisy.

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago

It’s like Diddy, is every other rapper a sexual predator like him then?

You must be a troll, because a serious person wouldn’t say this.

You know that real people are behind these names, right?

Do you realise that real people are reading your comments or are you just having fun here? I’ll answer if you’re serious, but I don’t believe you are.

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

I’m serious. You’re saying that people, by merely being in the same circles as a criminal may be complicit in the crimes of that person. I’m telling you that is not a rational stance to take. I used Diddy as an example since he is a fixture of the hip hop world and pretty much has a photo in a party with every A and B lister in the game. Does that mean that all of them partook in his activities?

[-] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

It doesn't. But it does make it exponentially more likely.

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago
[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago

If deflecting were an argument you would win every argument you ever find yourself in. Won’t continue to waste my time really.

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 week ago

Going out of your way to defend trump, diddy, and epstein is not a good look, btw.

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 0 points 1 week ago

Not defending anyone, I’m defending the concept of being able to associate with anyone without being accused of being complicit with their crimes should they commit any. Is that so hard to grasp? Think critically about this for 5 seconds.

Think of any figure you like, imagine they had a photo in a party with any of these people. Does that mean that person was complicit in the crimes if any of them? Of course not. Not even if they had committed similar crimes to theirs.

[-] NoForwardslashS@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 week ago

Yeah, it means nothing. It makes total sense his ex-wife, who hanged herself after he divorced her, took the kids and she found his journal describing 37 of his many affairs, would be the one that was good buddies with Ghislane Maxwell. Not the guy who sexually assaulted his babysitter.

[-] Plebcouncilman@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

I’m not defending RFK specifically fyi, I’m just saying the guy knew pretty much everyone in the 1%. So you need more evidence than a photo for it to mean anything.
