[-] Neondragon25@piefed.social 2 points 8 months ago

Throw an funny watermark at the bottom, for a more cursed look.

[-] TheBat@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

Oh my god, stop it. Meme shui isn't real.

[-] dumbass@leminal.space 6 points 8 months ago

AI images are the ultimate shitpost, absolutely no effort shit posts.

[-] yucandu@lemmy.world 0 points 8 months ago

How can you tell it's AI? By the pixels?

[-] Nikls94@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

Not AI but AI Slop. An AI image is created over time, fine tuning the prompt until it is perfect.

AI slop is just the first thing the ChatGPT image creation tool shows you. Perfect edges, a lot of mistakes, background that’s just jitter, a comic in that one specific style with the thick lines, that yellowish tint, the fur of animas looks too perfect all the way like the whole body is a macro shot.

After some time you kind of… feel AI generated images, audio, video and text. Bad use of LLMs has a pattern.

FYI. The increased energy use from social media contributes to a significant global carbon footprint, measured in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

Each lemmy post guzzles 100 litres of water and 1.21 gigawatts of power in a datacentre.

Can we please have yet another discussion on whether or not it is ethical to use AI for generating memes?

This matter having been fully considered, the session is now adjourned and all are dismissed.

I’m sorry, you appear to be attempting to appeal a final verdict from the court of public opinion.

I’m afraid there is no higher power to turn to.

[-] okwhateverdude@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

Well articulated, FartMaster69.

[-] DrDystopia@lemy.lol 0 points 8 months ago

I’m afraid there is no higher power to turn to.

I asked AI if it was true and it said you were wrong.

[-] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 8 months ago

Damn, sorry you couldn’t have a thought of your own.

[-] NotForYourStereo@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

You're stupid!

Next!

[-] yucandu@lemmy.world 1 points 8 months ago

Depends on what you're using it to generate. Entire art styles out of thin air that were probably derived from someone's real art? I'd say that's an ethical dilemma.

Using AI to make the perfect cat-spider-hybrid? No artists were harmed, it's just faster photoshop.

[-] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 8 months ago

Regardless of ethics, it’s just ugly and lazy.

[-] Melvin_Ferd@lemmy.world -2 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Totally ethical. It's the best.

In a time when content is king. It makes me so angry that the left was manipulated and played into hating AI. Look at you all. You can't even see it. Lemmy is so oblivious to it.

My fucking 68 year old trump supporting dad is using it daily to get numbers and sources and generate memes he finds funny to share.

You people are clutching your pearls because Lemmy had like 6 accounts that shared every single doom and gloom article they could all day every day for the past year.

Leftist are cooked.
