Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren't already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn't what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

Can the PIJ hit me up with their 2000 lb high explosive rockets?

People are either missing the fact that Palestine literally doesn't have the capability for this kind of rocket or they're being willfully negligent. In fact, I don't think even the US or Russia could launch this rocket.

For comparison, HIMARS missiles have about 200 pounds of high explosive, ATACMS have about 500 pounds, and Iskander-Ms have about 1800 pounds. Cruise missiles like Storm Shadows and Kalibrs have about 1000 pounds dedicated to their warhead. If this was a missile strike, it would exceed the casualty rate of all Russian Iskander strikes (including those in dense urban areas). It would also exceed the casualty rate of all Palestinian rocket strikes... summed together.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the corrupt right-liberal turd serving as Danish prime minister was asked in a trap interview whether or not there was a limit to how long Denmark would support the zionist entity in the face of their atrocities. He answered:

There must be room for a nuanced view. And we're recognise the "state of Israel"'s right to exist and the right to self defense. We care about the Palestinians. We are in favour of a two-state solution.

When asked whether Denmark can accept zionist war crimes he goes into a weaving non-answer:

There's no doubt that what we are seeing these days is a very locked game between Egypt who are not really interested in opening the borders because they are afraid to import the Palestinian problem. An "Israel" who has a legitimate need to strike back at Hamas. A line of countries in the region who are playing a sometimes constructive sometimes destructive role and a huge setback yesterday [the zionists' hospital massacre]

When pressed on whether or not the zionist entity should follow international humanitarian law he said:

But it is not very possible if you have to give a sufficient reaction to Hamas while at the same time leaving the door between Gaza and "Israel" open and therefore it is important to get a humanitarian corridor created through Egypt with "Israel"'s blessing and multilateral support

The interview ever with the journalist pressing him on whether there is a limit to what zionist atrocities Denmark will support and he gets grumpy and says:

I think your interview is skewed regarding the message I want to sell. Because your question s to me are about that I have to paint myself into the corner on some "Israel"-axis where it then ends with me having to say that we will either now or under certain conditions condemn "Israel". And you're not getting me to do that!

At this point in time I am completely and totally convinced that UNRWA are the best chance we have of preventing a genocide.

In order to kill or displace the civilians under UNRWA care, Israel will have to indiscriminately kill UN members of staff. It's still possible that they would, but the cost of doing that to both Israel and its supporters will be significant internationally.

The more civilians under UNRWA care, the better.

White House officials silent after hospital blast in Gaza

White House officials were silent in the immediate aftermath of a hospital bombing in Gaza that killed hundreds, unresponsive to numerous questions about what impact the deadly blast might have on President Joe Biden’s highly anticipated trip to the region.

Hours before Biden was expected to fly to Israel for an extraordinary visit to the war-torn region, a massive blast hit a hospital in Gaza, killing hundreds of people.

There was immediate consequence for the president’s upcoming trip, even before Biden had left the White House: Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas pulled out of his meeting with Biden, which had been set to take place in Jordan along with other regional leaders.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) denied culpability, saying that it was the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group that launched a barrage of rockets from Gaza toward Israel, and that a “failed rocket launch” hit the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital.

Palestinian officials have said the hospital was hit in an Israeli strike.

The moment vividly captured precisely how much is at stake for Biden as he heads to the Middle East.

US officials had said they had made painstaking efforts to ensure Biden’s security before greenlighting the trip. Biden was also set to emphasize to his Israeli counterpart and others the importance of minimizing civilian casualties in the conflict.

There's increasing anti-Palestinian police efforts here in the UK. A bar and venue a friend of mine works in apparently had a copper take offense to several year old stickers on the windows that included Free Palestine ones.

I'm not about to give them more attention than they want, so here's a video widely shared online of the filth hassling someone for having a Palestine flag on their property.

It's a perfect summation of the way this kind of pathetic but insidious policing works - they hassle you, they don't have the law on their side, and they act so put out by the whole thing as if you're the unreasonable on for making them come out and systematically harass you. It's insidious, it's a threat, it always includes the possibility of escalations random reprisal. But its also inherently, completely fucking cowardly and pathetic. A class of jackbooted thugs who have been made to play nosy neighbour. At least when the cameras are on and you're in suburbia. If not they'll just execute you in your car and claim they feared for their safety American style.

Debunking Israel’s lies about the bombing of Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza

Let’s be clear: Israel lies. The Israeli government — backed by the United States — murders Palestinians with genocidal impunity, while at the same time running a sophisticated disinformation apparatus, the sole purpose of which is to cover up its unspeakable atrocities. While the Israeli military rains bombs indiscriminately over Gaza, it simultaneously wages an information war, spewing falsehood after falsehood that defies all logic, all facts on the ground, and demands of us to disbelieve what we see with our very eyes and what we know to be true. This propaganda campaign would not be possible without the U.S. corporate media, which acts as Israel’s mouthpiece, amplifying its lies.

Israel on the defensive

Make no mistake: Israel has a long history of targeting Palestinian hospitals and medical workers — Al-Ahli was far from the first. But the death toll from these previous attacks never rose to such staggering proportions as the one on Oct. 17. Perhaps in an attempt to avert international condemnation, Israel asked us to accept its boldest lie yet: It was not responsible for the bombing of Al-Ahli. Israeli officials expected the public to believe this, despite hitting the same hospital with a rocket just three days before, damaging Al-Ahli’s Diagnostic Cancer Treatment Centre.

There is no doubt in Palestinians’ minds that Israel bombed the hospital, despite what government officials claim.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, head of the Anglican Church which owns Al-Ahli, stated that Israeli officials phoned the hospital ordering those in the area to evacuate on Sunday, Oct. 15 — just two days before it was bombed. The Anglican Bishop of Jerusalem, Hosam Naoum, also stated the hospital received at least three Israeli military orders to evacuate before the deadly blast on Oct. 17.

The world stands with Palestine

That the Al-Ahli massacre has the Israeli government scrambling to spin a counter-narrative attests to its fundamental weakness: the regime may have the backing of the U.S. government, but the people of the world stand with Palestine. Israel is losing the information war. When it launched its murderous aerial bombardment campaign on Gaza, Israel did not anticipate the full scale of pushback and international condemnation against its genocidal crimes. Over the last few weeks, millions of protestors — including huge numbers in the United States — have hit the streets all over the world in support of the Palestinian struggle and against Israeli colonization and land theft.

The tide is turning, and the days of the Israeli apartheid regime are numbered.

Moving the goalpost

“Right now, one goal: Nakba! A Nakba that will overshadow the Nakba of 48. Nakba in Gaza and Nakba to anyone who dares to join! their Nakba, because like then in 1948, the alternative is clear,” the Likud Party member wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.''

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20231009-israel-mk-calls-for-a-second-nakba-in-gaza/

''Israeli officials have repeatedly stigmatised the term as embodying an 'Arab lie' or as a 'justification for terrorism'. In 2009, the Israeli Education Ministry banned using 'nakba' in Palestinian textbooks for children. In 2011, the Knesset forbade institutions from commemorating the event. According to Neve Gordon, a school ceremony memoralizing the nakba would, under the 2011 law, have to respond to charges that it incited racism, violence and terrorism, and denied Israel's democratic character, in doing so.[55] In 2023, after the United Nations instituted a commemoration day for the Nakba on 15 May, the Israeli ambassador Gilad Erdan remonstrated that the event itself was antisemitic.[56]''
