The wild thing about Stephen Miller is that, even if he never opened his mouth. Even if you had no idea about his politics or his stance on literally anything. You could just look at this guy and think "Yeah...this guy looks like he definitely has an SS uniform in his closet at home."

He could be a nobody on the street, and you're a casting director for a big time WW2 film looking for extras to play nazi officers. You see him and you think "My god...he's perfect."

weird how he has been ranting non stop about “radical leftist” judges and their huge conspiracy, and they need to purge them… and then some supporter goes and attacks a judge.
….
kinda exactly like stochastic terrorism and not too hard to prove in court

[-] whyNotSquirrel@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 week ago

I hope this judge has a good lawyer!

I think they know a few, they will be fine.

What I don’t understand is, why would we need to wait for someone’s house to be set on fire to make it stick in court? The intent and actions of the stochastic terrorist are still the same.

Our legal system is pretty stupid that way.

[-] ozymandias@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

in past cases i’ve only heard of it being pursued in civil courts after the fact… feels like there’s something different when talking about judges but he always qualifies his rhetoric…
like “and there’s only one thing left to do, with this giant conspiracy using the law to manipulate the government! (pause) pursue legal action within the guidelines of the law, of course!”.
it seems a lot like he’s implying legal action is pointless and it’s time to do illegal things….
also looking at the director of the fbi and attorney general doesn’t give me hope they’ll pursue this one….

[-] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 1 points 1 week ago

It's what they want to have happen. They just need it to be blameable on anyone other than violent psychopaths.

Somehow they still think "influencing" the message means "controlling" the message.

[-] jacksilver@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

How is this not bigger news!

I have to listen to weeks about some random podcaster getting shot, but a judge whose made judgements against trump has their house burned down and everyone is all quite?

Goes against CBS news all Trump slant

"Why are Democrats letting themselves be victims of arson? Here's why this is bad for Biden"

[-] alt_xa_23@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

To be fair, Kirk's murder was graphic and in a public event. He was a pretty-well known figure, whereas most people don't know who this specific judge is. The arson didn't happen in a packed crowd in broad daylight.

This probably should be bigger news, but is makes sense why it isn't as widely talked about

[-] snooggums@piefed.world 2 points 1 week ago

Kirk might have caught a stray bullet from a hunter. We can't just start speculating!

[-] P00ptart@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Charlie Kirk just does that sometimes. 🤷🏼‍♂️

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 0 points 1 week ago

Dems aren't big on declaring Martyrs.

[-] madcaesar@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Dems SUCK ASS at everything, but especially messaging.

Got a week ban from Reddit for saying this guy deserves a swirly. Apparently the threshold for what constitutes as violent rhetoric is super low for these snowflakes.

[-] DarkAri@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

Reddit got sold to the corpos. It's a publicly traded company now. That means propaganda is now one of their biggest revenue sources in all likelihood.

[-] reptar@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

That's hilarious.

A fucking swirly.

For the Nazi.

[-] Cupcake@piefed.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 week ago

Listen, hear me out.
He caused this. His rhetoric caused this.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

Stochastic Terrorism, it's a core MAGA strategy.

[-] Formfiller@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

This is all straight out of the third reich playbook

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

If you think of Republicans like Sinn Fein, then "maga" is basically the terrorist wing, so maga is like their IRA. Except in this case, the conservatives are fighting for the end of democratic principles (and human rights, etc.).

[-] Alcoholicorn@mander.xyz 2 points 1 week ago

So the opposite of the IRA

How did some production designer think THAT was a good idea?

[-] crusa187@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 week ago

Because this convention was in the aftermath of Jan 6, and they were scrambling to both normalize insurrection attempts as well as “own the libs.” From that perspective it was a perfect theme. We should ensure the moniker sticks.

Not that you need an article to figure out Stephen Miller is a whiny sack of shit, lol. But still worth acknowledging it on the record 🙂

[-] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago

Someone please let Stephen miller actually melt down

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 1 points 1 week ago

PeeWee Himmler imagines himself to be a Hitler-style orator, so he melts down all the time, and it's hilarious. Check out this recent one where he addressed cops going into Memphis.

https://youtu.be/IZKBuqdBy5Y

The whole thing is funny, but the end when he starts convincing himself that they are "ruthless" and "hardcore" is hilarious. He is the absolute archetype of the smarmy coward trying to act tough, and fooling NOBODY. You just know that if he took one punch to the face, he'd collapse like a sack of potatoes, and start crying and begging for mercy.

I mean if its domestic terrorism then its the usual suspects.

So... has the fire been officially deemed arson? Last I saw they were still investigating the cause. The one calling it arson in the article is a congressman, not the fire department.
