US bombs are so advanced they don't even blow up

[-] Red_October@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

Something stopped those nukes the U.S. accidentally dropped on itself that no one hears about because they didn’t blow. Either aliens shut down all the nukes so they’d stop effecting other dimensions, or the majority of the U.S. nuclear arsenal was always fake.

Paper tiger more like paper weight ohhhhhhh

was found

lmao, it was just laying on the sidewalk one day, no one knows how it got there...

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 45 points 1 week ago

Doesn't the u.s. imperial army understand finder's keeper's? It's how they pretend they got the country after all.

[-] 30_to_50_Feral_PAWGs@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago

They understand the "finders keepers" part of the UN Security Council resolution, but never ratified the "losers weepers" part

[-] Frivolous_Beatnik@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago

Me, finding/keeping: obama-drone

Me, losing/weeping: obama-sad

[-] PKMKII@hexbear.net 42 points 1 week ago

Under international law, Lebanon has the right to invoke “finder’s keepers.”

[-] Awoo@hexbear.net 39 points 1 week ago

"Can we have our unexploded bomb back please?"

no

[-] Elysia@hexbear.net 33 points 1 week ago

Feds telling people to bring bombs to the US via official diplomatic channels is a new level of fedposting madeline-shock

[-] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago

If it's so important maybe don't go firing it off all willy nilly did-someone

[-] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago

They should fix it up and send it back in the same spirit it was given to them

[-] Carl@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago

Lebanon returns it because, after examination, they realize it's worse and more expensive than just buying the Chinese version

[-] Salah@hexbear.net 27 points 1 week ago

Lebanon returns it because its government has been completely compromised by the US.

[-] Cat_Daddy@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago

Uhhhhh, China and Russia don't give a shit about our outdated-assed weapons, lol

[-] Carl@hexbear.net 29 points 1 week ago

There is value in knowing exactly your opponent's weapon's capabilities even if you can already replicate or exceed them.

[-] Cat_Daddy@hexbear.net 25 points 1 week ago

What they really want to hide is that it probably had like depleted uranium shot in the warhead or something like that

[-] Cat_Daddy@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

And if that's what it is, that's a war crime

[-] blunder@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago

How many war crimes deep are we to the point where the bomb was dropped in the first place? Does it really matter? Genuinely asking

[-] VILenin@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

What would happen if the US ambassador spoke at the UN and bragged about how much they love doing war crimes? Nothing.

[-] Euergetes@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

Depleted Uranium is not a proscribed weapon, it should be, but it has not been.

Also the US & Israel incontrovertibly use that shit all the time, they have no face to lose were that the case.

[-] GalaxyBrain@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago

One that they've already done over and over with zero consequences

[-] ZWQbpkzl@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago

They could make way more effective and cheaper antimissile systems if they knew what was in our cruise missiles. They could find a weakness to exploit to use in an EM attack, for example.

Iran would kill to dissect one of these and they have more battle tested missile systems than China.

[-] Outdoor_Catgirl@hexbear.net 11 points 1 week ago

Didn't they get this same bomb from Yemen?

Is there a solid source for this other than "reports"? I've seen this tweet going around, but literally just the tweet without any corroborating sources. I found a more detailed article from Defense Asia Times but I have absolutely no idea if it is a credible source.

[-] JustSo@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

smh I lost my dog's ball over the neighbours fence. it would have been very rude if they didn't let me have it back.

equally it would be very rude for lebanon not to send ME the glide missile.

[-] Abracadaniel@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago

which way is up on these things? I've seen both. wings under fuselage or over?

[-] Blakey@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

Not that it proves anything, but the text on the side of the fuselage is right way up in this image so I would guess this is it.
